In a press release by the Chief Press Secretary to the Kwara State Governor, Abdulwahab Oba, no fewer than 700 employees will be engaged by the resuscitated Jebba Paper Mill next year at the completion of the company’s rejuvenation efforts, just as over N8 billion has so far been injected by the core investor in the company to expand its operations http://www.kwaranews.com/1/jebba-paper-mill-in-kwara-to-employ-over-700

Good if true.

Btw, how is the mill powered?

EDIT: OK, looks like it is a water mill.

EDIT #2: Or looks like powered by a gen? http://www.thenationonlineng.net/2011/index.php/business/9780-moribund-jebba-paper-mills-comes-alive.html
In which case, I'm surprised that the business is profitable.

That is what I figured, heh. I don't see how many businesses that are energy-intensive but running on diesel (or some other expensive power source) can be profitable in Nigeria. You just cannot compete against people abroad who are running their business on cheap energy.
