Ila, Ifedayo PDP Rallies: Adeleke Bemoans Poor Infrastructure Amidst Rousing Reception

The Osun governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Senator Adeleke Ademola Nurudeen has lambasted the Oyetola administration over its criminal neglect of infrastructures at Ila Orangun and surrounding local governments.

Addressing mammoth crowd of residents at Ila Orangun and Ifedayo areas, Adeleke expressed shock at the poor state of roads, wondering why the state governor deliberately abandoned the people of the federal constituency.

Referencing recent demonstration against the Governor by Ila Orangun students, Adeleke noted that the infrastructure decay under Oyetola is state-wide as the same scenario is prevalent in both eastern and western senatorial districts of the state.

"Let me assure you that help has come. I expressed empathy at the poor state of infrastructures in Ila and Ifedayo local government areas. I assure the people of Ila and Ifedayo local governments of adequate provision of motorable roads, hospitals with qualified doctors and health practitioners, modernised schools with qualified teachers, stable electricity supply, security for the safety of lives and properties, empowerment programmes, skill acquisition and employment opportunities amongst other necessities of life.

"Our five point agenda has infrastructure as a major focus. Our local contractors and professionals will be fully engaged. We will ensure Osun fund rotate within Osun economy. We will implement infrastructure projects in a way to create jobs for our teeming youths. Ours will be a government that cares for the people", Adeleke stated with thousands of residents singing exit song for Governor Adegboyega Oyetola.

Also speaking, the Director General of Senator Ademola Adeleke Campaign Organisation, Hon. Sunday Bisi said that the earth-shaking jubilation and ovation that greeted the PDP rallies established the people’s confidence and preference for the PDP and its candidate over and above Oyetola, who has failed them on all fronts.

According to the DG, "the good people of Osun State are aware of the outright failure, hopelessness and misgovernance of the APC in the State. Our people have confirmed the increasing unpopularity of Oyetola government by the day while soaring the popularity and acceptability of PDP candidate, Senator Nurudeen Jackson Ademola Adeleke, across the voting demography of Osun state.

"Just as Ile Ife embraced us yesterday, Ila Orangun and Ifedayo have accepted imole and the candidature of Senator Adeleke. We plegde not to disappoint them when the PDP win the July 16 elections", Hon Bisi stated.

Prior to the rallies, the Senator Ademola Adeleke Campaign Council paid a courtesy visit to the royal palace of Asa Ooni of Ora-Igbomina, His Royal Highness, Oba Tinuoye Atolagbe and proceeded to the palace of His Royal Majesty, Oba Samuel Oladoye Idowu, Akesin of Ora-Igbomina, Ifedayo local government area of Osun State.

The Campaign Organisation, as a matter of respect for the Royal stool, visited, His Royal Majesty, Oba Adedokun Abolarin Omoniyi, the Orangun of Oke Ila, Aroyinkeye 1 and finally, His Imperial Majesty, the Orangun of Ila, Oba Abdulwahab Oyedotun, Bibiire 1.

In all the towns and palaces visited, the campaign team were receieved by warmly engaged by the residents with the royal fathers praying fervently for PDP victory in the July 16 election.

PDP at the national level is not doing enough to their flag bearers in Osun and Ekiti.
