Oil Marketers Say Diesel Is Responsible For Abuja Fuel Scarcity by Health16: 7:18am On Jun 16, 2022
The high cost of diesel, which petrol-laden trucks use to transport petroleum products, is responsible for the ongoing Abuja fuel scarcity. This is according to Tunji Oyebanji, a former chairman of the Major Oil Marketers Association of Nigeria (MOMAN).

Newsrand understands that there had been a fuel shortage in Abuja since last year (2021) when the Federal Government announced plans to remove fuel subsidies.

Although the government said the shortages were caused by the discovery of high amounts of methanol in imported fuel, the crisis has lingered for months.
