Read for yourself. Wike has always been on good terms with Tinubu. You can describe them as "Political Frenemies" based on being on different opposing parties. But Wike has always rated Tinubu highly and shown him great respect and recognition. He reveres and adulates Tinubu for who he is and what he has accomplished politically.

Now all that aside, the fact is Wike is now at a political crossroads. His tenure as governor is fast approaching an end, and so is his immunity. Wike is going to be a lame duck for EFCC after vacating governor office. They will show him hell, and probably have enough dirt on him to send him to jail. No governor wants this. Now the real politics comes in.

To cover his end, Wike needed at minimum VP slot with a chance to win at the polls. It would have been a fight to death for him, do whatever it takes, give it the all it requires, to ensure PDP wins. But the dumb Atiku and Political Dunces Party, PDP betrayed him, despite all Wike's sacrifices to keep PDP alive.

PDP would have gone into permanent coma if not for Wike. He was literally the life support of the "dead" party. But at the slightest chance of resurrection and recovery, what does PDP do? They betrayed the very man Wike that was the blanket that covered their unclothedness and shame.

Like they say in African politics, no permanent friends or enemies, only permanent interests. And Wike's #1 interest now is escaping persecution and prosecution from EFCC that will definitely land him in jail after his governor tenure ends. His biggest concern now is immunity after governor's office. The only way he can make that happen now is if he cuts a deal with Tinubu who are obviously the winning team come 2023.

So Wike is going to cut a deal with Tinubu to deliver SS votes to APC, or conversely stated, ensure PDP doesn't get bloc votes in the SS, particularly Rivers where voting activity is usually so high. This new political alliance and alignment is in Wike's best interest, and it will be easy for Wike because Tinubu is not and was never an enemy of Wike. Win-win situation.

So if PDP, Atiku and Okowa think they have succeeded in showing Wike what insider betrayal means, then wait till Wike responds with supporting Tinubu's presidential ambition. Hell hath no fury like a scorned Wike. PDP will learn politics 101 - never betray the hands that fed you. You cannot betray and humiliate a political gladiator and lion like Wike and get away with it.

Someone that defeated Amaechi like a baby despite all Amaechi's presidential might backing him. Wike is probably the greatest asset and most loyal member PDP ever had and this is how they repay him? PDP is an evil party of unprincipled thieves. But fortunately, Tinubu's arms are wide open for Wike
