Oponu, Obi challenged PDP hegemony in Anambra with an unknown party like APGA and defeated PDP in Anambra and crushed Andy Uba's godfatherism in Anambra, Obi brought APGA to prominence and today APGA is a mainstay party in Anambra (thanks to Obi), that's the sign of a man who is not afraid to take on new challenges, as he proved once again by joining a LP party "with no structure" instead of kissing Ass in PDP, today LP gained more popularity and traction nationwide that it could ever boast of before Obi joined, you may not like the man...but you can't argue against the massive aura he has anywhere he goes!

Oh, so now you have turned it to an Atiku matter. Ok, well let me tell you, SE bloc votes came for PDP, why? Because Obi was on ballot and the SE region was eager and desperate for own our to become VP for the first time. Very understandable move, and very good. Same with GEJ that got bloc votes from SS.

This is the same way Tinubu will get bloc votes from the SW region this time around because if he misses this chance now, it will take at least minimum of 16 years if extremely lucky or realistically speaking maybe 32 years before the political wheel of fortune cycle touches down on the Southwest again.

It's pretty clear that everyone (most) in the Southwest irrespective of political affiliation are going to support Tinubu or won't work to stop him because a SW presidency is going to favor many politicians in the SW. So they want it to happen.

Just the same way we igbos are ready to dump Biafra agitation and unite in a moments notice if we had a presidential candidate on either APC or PDP. We would drop bloc votes. Mimiko did not win outrightly. PDP did malpractice and the next in numbers, which was LP was awarded the winner by the court. This happened in other states that made Fayemi, Peter Obi, Aregbesola governors.

As far as am concerned north will keep ruling nigeria. Do you know that most northerners have turned there eyes on atiku just because he is from the north. Tinubu must pick a Muslim to win the election. He wont win any southeast or south south states.
