The visit was focused on intimating the Ministry of the Mission's aims at fostering the frontier for policy execution between both countries. Speaking with the Permanent Secretary of the Burundi Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Development Cooperation H.E Ferdinand Bashikako, His Excellency Amb Elijah Onyeagba PhD hinted at the intentions of the Nigerian Mission to review the activities in Bujumbura. According to him, with the increase in trade, visibility of government to government interactions and bilateral engagements with the two great nations in recent times, the Nigerian Mission here in Bujumbura has deemed it fit to review some of its operational sequences in Burundi to meet up with this pace.
