Arrests wanted notorious drug dealer in Adamawa; seizes tons of illicit substances in 5 other states

Attempts by drug traffickers to export parcels of Methamphetamine popularly called meth locally concealed in Cornflakes packs and body cream containers to Malaysia and Australia have been foiled by operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA at Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Ikeja, and a courier company in Lagos.

As a result, two freight agents; Nneji Anoma And Etoh Barnabas involved in the bid to export nine parcels of Methamphetamine weighing 1.45kg hidden in packs of cornflakes to Malaysia through the NAHCO export shed of the MMIA on Wednesday 15th June 2022 have been arrested.

Another consignment of 10 cartons of Tramadol 225mg packaged as Tramaking containing 500,000 tablets with a total weight of 407kg and an estimated street value of Two Hundred Million Naira (N200, 000, 000) have been seized during a joint examination with the Customs at the NCS warehouse. The consignment, which had arrived SAHCO import shed since 6th June from India via Ethiopian Airline was eventually transferred to the NDLEA by Customs on Wednesday 15th June.

The previous day, Tuesday 14th June, a similar joint examination with Customs at the Customs enforcement terminal, Tincan seaport, Lagos led to the seizure of 33 parcels of cannabis indica (Colorado) weighing 16.5kgs. The drug exhibit was recovered from a 40-foot container, TRHU 7874497 containing four vehicles. The cannabis coming from Montreal, Canada was discovered in three out of the four vehicles in the container.

In the same vein, operatives of the Directorate of Operations and General Investigation, DOGI at the Agency attached to a courier company have intercepted a kilogram of Methamphetamine concealed in body cream containers heading to Australia.

Meanwhile, the drug cartels also suffered losses in other operations across Adamawa, Borno, Kogi, Ogun, Zamfara and Taraba state. A notorious drug dealer, Abdullahi Musa, a.k.a Yerima Uding wanted for some past attacks on officers and men of the agency was in the early hours of Thursday 16th June arrested in Hong town, Adamawa state.
The 53-year-old suspect was caught with 57 blocks of compressed cannabis sativa, concealed in the boot of his ash coloured Toyota Corolla car with reg. no. GMB 185 MF. He has been fingered as the mastermind of the mob attack in Hong on 6th October, 2020 that led to the death of an NDLEA operative and another officer now bedridden due to permanent incapacitation.

In Borno State, another drug dealer Umar Musa was arrested in Tashan Kano, Gwoza LGA on Thursday 17th June with 8,000 capsules and tablets of Tramadol weighing 4.550kgs, while 32.182kgs cannabis were seized by NDLEA operatives along Okene/Abuja highway, Kogi state from a commercial bus travelling from Lagos to Abuja.

Following credible intelligence, operatives also arrested one Nwanbunike Chibuike, 22, with 19,576 tablets of Exol-5, Diazepam, Tramadol and Rohypnol as well as 7.9 litres of Codeine at Ogere, Ikenne LGA, Ogun state on Wednesday 15th June.

In Zamfara, a consignment of 11,660 tablets of Hyponox and 6,000 ampoules of pentazocine injection was recovered from a drug dealer, Success Amaefuna at Tsafe area of the state on his way to Sokoto state, while 5,000 tablets of Tramadol were seized from Darius John F. Mbugun, 33, who ordered the consignment from Onitsha, Anambra state. The drug exhibit was concealed in a bag of gari for distribution in Gembu, Sardauna LGA, Taraba state.

Chairman/Chief Executive of NDLEA, Brig. Gen. Mohamed Buba Marwa (Retd) commended the officers and men of the MMIA, DOGI, Tincan, Adamawa, Borno, Kogi, Ogun, Zamfara and Taraba Commands of the Agency for the seizures and arrests of the past week. He encouraged them and their compatriots across other formations to remain vigilant and intensify their offensive action against the drug cartels in all parts of the country.

Why are Ibos so notorious in drug trafficking all over world? Yet no one call them Igbo drug traffickers!
But Ibos can ethnic-profiled other tribes like Yoruba, Fulani etc for crimes committed by just a fraction of the population and tag them Fulani herdsmen, Yoruba separatists etc
So it was only Igbo names you read in the report or your brain has been configured to interprete every name on NDLEA report to Igbo?

Always in the news for the very wrong reasons.
May God save Nigerians from these idiots that keep bringing the country to to disrepute.
They have all the opportunities to work legitimately, but fraud and crime is engraved on their forehead.....almost naturally!

Same kind of people we read, that produce fake teething powder for new born babies under 6 months old, sending many innocent newborns to their untimely death!

They turn worn out and old tires to brand new ones in their shops under 3 hours and sell it back to unsuspecting public as tokunbo tires!!! shocked
Causing many deaths on our roads by so doing!!

Same people that were rejoicing on the death of one of the greatest women to ever come out of Nigeria (Mrs Dora Akunyili!) cos she was a pain in their dirty as$!!

Anything and everything is money to them, even when innocent lives are in danger.
Bastards.

Guys,
Legit Hustle is the way to a good and beautiful life,
That you will enjoy your money with peace of mind.
Keep pushing on guys, One day Hustle go pay.
God no go shame una

So Mba,
We have drug dealers and fraudsters in every tribe and regions in Nigeria please.
It is a personal thingy by criminals and fools, not by tribe.
Only some sets of animalistic fraudsters giving our whole tribe a bad name, it's not about our tribe at all.
Please take note Sir Polo!

May the animals bringing the name of our darling nation to disrepute, rot in jail forever.
Animals in human skin making life hard for innocent, hardworking and legitimate Nigerians.

All that Meth is fueling the madness in the NE as Meth is the preferred drug of choice for terrorists as it creates alertness, battles fatigue and also boosts confidence and makes the user more brazen and callous.

The Germans developed this drug to battle tiredness among their soldiers fighting a war on several fronts.

The case of the crazy Fin who mistakenly ingested the entire supply of his platoon when evading from Soviet troops is a must read.
Meet Aimo Koivunen, The Soldier Who Survived WWII Thanks To Accidentally Overdosing On Meth

In 1944, Finnish soldier Aimo Koivunen got separated from his unit and survived for weeks inside the Arctic Circle without food or shelter — fueled by a dose of meth large enough for 30 men.

While fleeing a Soviet ambush, Koivunen took a near-lethal overdose of methamphetamine. The drugs helped Koivunen cover hundreds of miles of ground – but they nearly killed him in the process.

Heavy snow covered the ground in Lapland on March 18, 1944. Finnish soldiers had been fighting for their country for over four years of nearly uninterrupted war. Deep behind enemy lines, one Finnish ski patrol found itself surrounded by Soviets.
Gunfire broke the silence. Men scrambled for safety. The ambush turned into a race for survival as the Finnish troops fled on skis.

Over the course of World War II, Finland staved off a Soviet invasion, allied with Germany to invade the Soviet Union, and then fought with the Allies against Germany. And soldier Aimo Koivunen’s meth-fueled survival story breathtakingly embodies that chaos.
While fleeing a Soviet ambush, Koivunen took a near-lethal overdose of methamphetamine. The drugs helped Koivunen cover hundreds of miles of ground – but they nearly killed him in the process.

A Finnish soldier tracks Soviet troops using marks in the snow.
Aimo Koivunen led the Finnish skiers through deep, untouched snow. Koivunen’s fellow soldiers relied on him to cut the tracks for the rest of the troops to glide across. The grueling work quickly drained Koivunen — until he remembered the package of pills in his pocket.
Back in Finland, the squad had received a ration of a stimulant called Pervitin. The tablets would give soldiers a burst of energy, commanders promised. Koivunen initially resisted taking the drug. But his men were in desperate circumstances.
So Koivunen reached into his pocket and pulled out the stimulants.
By chance, Koivunen carried the Pervitin supply for his entire squad. Still fleeing the Soviets, pressing through the snow, Koivunen struggled to pop a single pill in his mouth. The thick mittens meant to protect him from arctic conditions made it impossible to take a single dose of Pervitin.
Rather than stop to parse out the recommended dose, Aimo Koivunen downed 30 pills of pure methamphetamine.
Immediately, Koivunen began skiing much faster. His squad matched his pace initially. And the Soviets fell back, unable to keep up with the new pace.
Then Koivunen’s vision went blurry and he lost consciousness. But he did not stop skiing. In a blackout state, Koivunen continued to cut through the snow.
The next day, the soldier’s awareness returned. Koivunen discovered that he had crossed 100 kilometers. He was also completely alone.

Aimo Koivunen had covered 100 kilometers of snow while high on meth. And when he regained consciousness, he was still under the influence.
His squad had fallen behind, leaving him alone. That did not bode well for Koivunen, who had no ammunition or food. All he had was skis and a meth-induced burst of energy.

He soon learned that the Soviets had not given up the chase. During his long trek, Koivunen ran into Soviet troops several times.
He also skied over a landmine. By chance, the exploding landmine started a fire. Somehow, Koivunen survived the explosion and the fire.
Still, the landmine left Koivunen injured and delirious. He lay on the ground, drifting in and out of consciousness, waiting for help. Unless he moved soon, freezing temperatures would kill Koivunen. Fueled by meth, the soldier got back on his skis and kept going.
As the days passed, Koivunen’s appetite slowly returned. While the mega-dose of meth had suppressed the soldier’s desire to eat, hunger pains eventually brought his situation in stark relief.
Winter in Lapland left few options for the soldier. He gnawed on pine buds to stave off hunger. One day, Koivunen managed to catch a Siberian jay and ate it raw.
Somehow, Aimo Koivunen survived sub-zero temperatures, Soviet patrols, and a meth overdose. He eventually reached Finnish territory, where compatriots rushed the soldier to the hospital.
At the end of his ordeal, Koivunen had crossed 400 kilometers of territory – or 250 miles. His weight dropped to only 94 pounds. And his heart rate remained a shocking 200 beats per minute.

Aimo Koivunen was not the only World War II soldier fueled by performance-enhancing drugs. The Nazi regime also relied on drugs like methamphetamine to give its soldiers an edge.
In the days before the Nazis invaded France, commanders passed out Pervitin to millions of soldiers.
Berlin’s very own Temmler pharmaceuticals had developed Pervitin in 1938. The pill, essentially a swallowable form of crystal meth, cured depression, the pharmaceutical company claimed. For a brief time, Germans could buy the “energy pills” over the counter.

Then Otto Ranke, a German doctor, began testing Pervitin on college students. With war looming, Ranke suggested giving Pervitin to soldiers.
The drug gave the Nazis an edge. Soldiers could suddenly march through the night without sleep. Eager to make use of methamphetamines, the Nazis issued a “stimulant decree” in the spring of 1940. The decree sent 35 million doses of meth to the front lines.
And the Allied troops also popped amphetamines as a way to stave off fatigue during combat. Doses of speed kept soldiers awake during the war.
In spite of millions of doses of meth and speed handed out during the war, Aimo Koivunen was the only soldier known to survive an overdose of meth behind enemy lines. Not only that, Koivunen survived the war and lived into his 70s.
