The 2nd edition of the first-ever U.S. Modest Fashion Week will be held in Chicago from June 30th to July 3rd, 2022. The theme for this year's event is "Fashion is an Ambassador to World Peace". There will be 25 International designers and models to match. Modest Arts Awards Met Gala will pay tribute to trailblazers who paved the way for emerging designers of different backgrounds. Honorees include Maki Mandela "House of Mandela," Lexy Mojo Eyes Founder of Legendary Gold TV/The African Reception, and African fashion e-commerce online portal "AgogoAfrica". Carmen W. Muhammad is an African American modest designer, owner of Al-Nisa Designs and Women Working Together Inc., and a native of Los Angeles. After her first appearance in Torino, Italy, she went viral after an article titled "Pink Hijab Ladies Steal the Show at Torino Fashion Week".
