It's been an outstanding display from these lads. They simply remind me of the 2013 set. The mesmerizing freekicks from the left back in none other than Emmanuel Michael is a touch of gold. He will remind you of Musa Mohammed who was the captain of the world cup winning side in 2013. They score goals for fun though they have to be more resolute in defending as the team conceeeds in every match played thus far.

Wrong. They have not qualified for the World Cup. This is the WAFU Zone B tournament. It is the qualifiers for the Under 17 AFCON. Each of the six zones received two spots in the U17 AFCON tournament.

The 6 zones are North, West zone A, West zone B, Central, Central East and South.


This is the West Zone B (WAFU Zone B) tournament (hosted by Ghana) and two teams will qualify for the AFCON.


The top four teams at the Under 17 AFCON in Algeria (which will take place from April 8 to 30 2023) will qualify for the Under 17 World Cup in Peru.

Save for Qatar 2022, Nigeria may be the only country in Planet earth that has already qualified for each pending continental showpiece final and for the world cup proper, viz: all women's U17, U20 and Senior World Cup as well as men's U17 and U20. We have already qualified for the women's U17 and U20 World Cups. No goal was conceded in the qualifying series of the women U17. We won the men's WAFU B U20 Trophy. We are all qualified and competing for trophies in the men's U17 and U20 as well as the Senior Women's AFCON Finals. No other country comes near.
