70% of EU imports of thermal coal, used for generating electricity, come from Russia.

EU nations have clearly not thought this through, as ever.

I think it's time for Africa and African countries to start bilateral trading with Russia on goods and services, bypassing the Dollar and getting cheaper goods in rubbles

Russia is truly blessed, someone up there said most of EU woods come from siberia, which simply means, Russia provides almost every thing for EU when it comes to energy

For a country that has a staggering 630 billion trees accounting for 25% of worlds forest, Russia has enough woods to last the EU many hundred of years to come

So if they refuse Russian oil, they can buy Russian gas, refuse Russia gas then Russian coal is an option, if coal is not sufficient let them opt for Russian wood.

All in all they can't do without Russia and that's the harsh reality

Dunce post. The Rouble is already too high because Russia is just as dumb as all you 3rd world admirers of the fascist country. What do you want to buy from there?

Their new Lada will cost 2x the price of a far far better car from BMW because of the Rouble value that is high because the Russians are not importing anything but exporting gas to the EU which will soon stop. Everything will soon crash inside

How did soviet union now survive, with an economy of over 4 trillion dollars; that's the thing, soviets was a closed economy. So all these your economics won't matter, who told you they aren't importing anything.......

You are highly misinformed. Do you know why Russian things are cheap while being good? It's not because the Rouble is high or low--its because Russia make everything to be competitive in price and tops it with discounts. That's why they always finds customers even when they price their goods in Dollars. No one sells cheaper than Russia quality goods that are ordinarily expensive elsewhere.
