“Boko Haram told us they would hunt us down and kill us if we try to escape”- Rescued Chibok Schoolgirls

Two Chibok schoolgirls rescued after about nine years of being held captive by Boko Haram militants have received all the necessary medical attention they needed and would be handed over to the appropriate authorities according to the Nigerian Army.

Hauwa Joseph and Mary Dauda (Ngoshe), the two rescued girls from the Government Girls Secondary School Chibok, are now in good health, according to Nigerian military officials.

A few days, Gallant Military Info reported that Nigerian Army troops rescued the two (2) Chibok School girls in different parts of Borno State. The two girls were rescued after being kidnapped by Boko Haram terrorists in 2014.

Boko Haram captured 276 girls from a school in Chibok, northeast Nigeria, in April 2014, as part of over ten-year-old insurgency to set up an Islamic state in the north which has killed some 15,000 people and displaced more than 2 million.

Some girls escaped in the melee but parents of the remaining missing girls accused former President Goodluck Jonathan, Nigeria’s then leader, of not doing enough to find their daughters whose disappearance sparked a global campaign #bringbackourgirls.

Jonathan lost office in an election in March 2015.

Speaking to the press, one of the rescued girls, Mary Dauda, recounted her experience in the hands of the insurgents.

Speaking in Hausa language, she said she could still vividly recall her compulsory marriage eight years ago after she was abducted at the age of 18 years.

Dauda said that she walked through the deadly forest for many days before she found help.

I blame the northern structure for this. How can somebody give birth to a child and say the child will only attend islamic school. Just know that you are training a likely extremist in the future. Where burn is education is not valued what do you expect. Those yorubas like tinubu must know that there are not muslims in the eyes of the extremist fulani landlords of northern nigeria. How can you be a muslim and your wife is a christian, and your fellow muslim brothers are bent on killing christians
