Rivers State Governorship Candidates And Their Chances

1. ARCH TONYE COLE:
He is of the APC. He is a businessman who has been able to manage businesses profitably. His sense of direction is unparalleled. He's got the mettle to mix human and material resources of Rivers State for the ultimate benefit of all. He strongly believes that he can take Rivers State from it's current rubble to a place where dignity and hope reign supreme. He is so optimistic and drawing from what he has done in the corporate world, one cannot but build strong hope around him for a Rivers State of possibilities.
His chances (35%). He needs to work harder.

2. CHIEF DUMO LULU-BRIGGS:
He is of the Accord Party. He is a manager of human and material resources. He is a politician. He is a philanthropist. He is empathetic and compassionate. He has shown rare steadfastness and resilience in addition to maintaining focus, discipline, sense of responsibility, vision and resilience in his endeavours. His respect for his fellow man is beyond description.
His chances (30%).

3. PRINCE UGO BEKE:
He is of APGA. He is a businessman. He is a leader. He is a politician. He believes that setting the right priorities will eventually produce positive results for Rivers people. He believes that Rivers State needs to be rescued from the current state of motion without movement to a thriving space where government acts as the enabler for economic development. He is determined.
His chances (18%).

4. SIM FUBARA:
He is of the PDP. He resigned recently as Accountant-General of Rivers State Government and was picked by Governor Wike. It is said that he is a generous man. He is a young man. That should be a plus for him. The negative against him is the N117 billion of Rivers State fund withdrawn over the counter by him without due process. He is yet to clear himself from the EFCC's dragnet.
His chances (8%).

5. MRS BEATRICE ITUBO:
She is of the LP. She is a strong labour leader. She hasn't wavered in the struggle to get the Government of Rivers State to pay the much-needed attention that the workers of Rivers State need. She is dogged. She is irrepressible.
Her chances (5%).

6. VICTOR FINGESI:
He is of the ADP. His motive to become Governor is not yet to be articulated.
His chances (3%).

7. SOBOMABO JACKRICH:
He is of the NRM. He is an estranged supporter of Gov. Wike. He believes that the funds that accrued to Rivers State under Wike were not properly used.
His chances (1%).

Sure. But the feel of the people favours Tonye Cole now. Rivers people are not happy with Wike and his illicit financial dealings with Rivers State funds.

Tonye Cole that does not even know the road to his Kalabari-Ijaw village from Borokiri water side Okrika.

You want to compare it to the Ibani-Ijaw born Fubara that is used to Port-Harcourt back and front.

It's time for an Ijaw/Ogoni ticket. That's the right way to go. Upland has had power 23 years already.

Even Tom Ateke from Wakirike(Okrika)-Ijaw may decide to support Fubara or Tonye Cole but mostly Fubara.

What has that got to do with offering good governance? He is used to Portharcourt yet him and his boss stole N117 billion from Rivers State treasury when pensioners and teachers are being owed for years. Try dey honest small abeg.
Re: Rivers State Governorship Candidates And Their Chances by Ebi2233: 1:48pm On Jun 23, 2022
So if Ijaws will be getting the ticket as Riverine don't you think that Upland will want to take the Vice?

Thereby marginalizing Ogoni more.

Not at all. The tone of the state is in favour of Ogoni as Deputy. After the Ijaw 8 years, power should go to the Ogoni people

Don't forget that Ijaws had the 23 years Deputy when Upland were rotating the Governor among themselves
And now that all parties have zoned the tickets to Ijaws don't you think that upland will ask for vice?

That means e b like Ogoni no dey exist.

Only Upland (Igboid)

Riverine,(Ijoid).

The problem was the Uplands stance. After Odili, it should have gone to the Riverine with Ogoni as Deputy. Unfortunately, that didn't happen. After Amaechi's tenure also, he tried to move it to the Riverine, still didn't work because his upland brother Woke, fought against him and took the Governorship. So this time around, this can't continue.
