Anambra Police Command has arrested a 30-year-old man for raping a 75-year-old woman in Anambra State.

The incident occured on Friday evening in Nkwelle -Awkuzu in Oyi local government area.

It was gathered the young man, who was nearly killed by the angry mob, traced the septugenerian to her farm where the dastardly act was carried out.



Confirming the incident, Anambra State Police Public Relations Officer, Ikenga Tochukwu, gave the suspect’s name as Sunday Nwadiagba from Eyiba, Ebonyi State.

He said the suspect allegedly raped a 75-year- old woman living in Nkwelle Awkuzu.
