The Americans are absolutely ITCHING for war — with anybody!

But they have one overriding constraint: The Americans cannot let slip that their military is a paper tiger. They have to maintain the illusion—at all costs—that the US military is the most powerful on the planet.

The reason the US wants to go to war so badly is because it needs to flex: Washington NEEDS to show the world—and most of all to itself—that it’s still the “undisputed global hegemon”.

Especially now that the war in Ukraine—the US’s openly acknowledged proxy—is all but lost.

But it can’t go to war with Russia.

The US military got a good look at what the Russians can do on the battlefield—and realized they can’t match it. The US may spend 15 times more p/y on defense—but the Russian military is bigger, stronger and better lead.

What really rocked the Pentagon was:

▪️ US air power—it’s ace in the hole—can be effectively neutralized by Russian air defense

▪️US artillery is but a fraction of what the Russians can bring to the battlefield

Which means Russia can beat the US—and now they both know it.

The US also wants to fight China — but the Americans are realizing how vulnerable they actually are.

It’s the aircraft carriers, man: They can project power to smaller or middling nations—but they are a huge liability in a war with a peer or near-peer.

Politically, no American government would survive losing even a single nuclear aircraft carrier, let alone three or four or more.

Militarily, it would take at least 5 years to replace these lost aircraft carriers. So losing them would render the US weaponless.

This isn’t 1942, when the US had the manufacturing base to replace a sunken aircraft carrier in 6 to 12 months — as they did back then.

Losing aircraft carriers and Pacific bases to the Chinese would be a disaster, leaving the US without military power to project *anywhere*.

There’s also a domestic policy angle that people are not realizing.

If Washington went to war with Russia or China—and lost (as they would)—the demoralization of the country would be so great that it would lead to riots and civil chaos.

America would collapse internally

The Deplorables—who make up the backbone of America, and are the only people keeping the country standing—would simply give up, in terms of morale.

And so the anarchic forces that have been stirred up by the Left for going on 40 years would riot and destroy the country.

So Washington is in a quandary: It needs a war to reestablish its bona fides as the “undisputed global hegemon”, the “indispensable nation”.

But if it loses a war, the domestic chaos would be uncontrollable, ruinous — and it would end with a 1793 style reign of terror.

That’s why the US itches for war with Russia or China—but doesn’t really dare. The more sane US leaders know America would lose against either one of them.

But it NEEDS a war!

So . . . maybe Iran?

China is about to become the world power or already part of the world power structure, they never were a world super power. Russia was a superpower until the soviet union collapsed.


As for the thread, I think no superpower stays powerful forever and America is not going to be an exception. Power will shift from America to another continent. What we're not sure of is, does the next world power(expectedly China) have the power play to diversity of everyone or welcome everyone like America can? China is overpopulated.
