Alex walks like if he's broken both of his legs, jumps as if he's auditioning for Cartoon Network, and spews out one-liners with remarkable regularity that serve little to no reason. The'slutty-girl,' who merely shrieks, kicks, and hops with abandon, is a particularly vexing foe. Fortunately, I immediately learned the ideal strategy for eliminating this foe: approach close to her, grab her by the shirt, and punch her repeatedly in the tits until she yields.

The Asskickers, you know, is all about childish laughter, complete with tit-punching and crotch-kicking. This is especially evident when you defeat an end-of-level boss and proceed to humiliate them by giving a fast 'ass-kicking,' hammering the attack button, repeatedly hitting your foot with their ass, and racking up a significant number of points. It's completely meaningless, but strangely entertaining.

The absurd condition of 'ass-kicking' is accompanied by the largely impractical storyline, which will see you traveling all the way across America to what I suppose closely resembles the Pentagon in order to kick the ass of none other than the President of the United States. As if it weren't strange enough, the levels leading up to this incident appear entirely unrelated, such as walking through a construction site or a memorial park.

There is a strong emphasis on cooperative play, as was once common in games of this genre. The singleplayer mode is almost unbearable at times, but team up with a friend and this game becomes a stroll in the park, revealing a significant lack of balance that needs to be addressed. It would be unfair to disregard the fact that The Asskickers is significantly better in co-op mode. Even so, there are just six levels to complete.
