Lawyers have argued before Justice Tijani Ringim that activist-lawyer Malcolm Omirhobo should not be allowed to make an appearance in Olokun attire.

The controversial lawyer started spotting the Olokun attire after the Supreme Court ruled that female students in Lagos are free to wear hijab as part of their uniforms.

He is seen in a court exchanging words and arguing why he cannot be stopped from making his appearance despite arguments by his colleagues.

Lol.
I have realised that most of those their body and soul have been enslaved by the Whites/Westerners are Nigerian Lawyers.

Yes, you heard right. Most believe that being a lawyer is a license to show how submerged they are into the induced black inferiority complex to the Europeans.

Just look at the way they walk, talk and dress. It screams inferiority complex.
They are the only profession that wear white peoples wig as a symbol of identification.

So one challenging this gentleman for dressing in an African attire is not surprising.

The current mainstream court system, i.e. civil courts, are foreign traditions of resolving civil disputes. When colonists met us here they found us with indigeneous traditions of resolving civil disputes.

Both traditions serve the same goal...resolve civil dispute.

Whiteman did not remove the indigeneous court system. He called them customary courts.

The only difference between foreign civil court and customary court are language and certain ceremonies of appearance...like gown and cap and gavel.

When a lawyer choses to practice in a civil court system then he respects the protocol of that court.

I remember also a similar controversy about a student from Ilorin that was called to bar and would not remove hijab for the new court regalia.

The judicial council need to put its foot down and force compliance on court appearance for licensed attorneys.
