AKERMAS ENERGY LIMITED IS LOOKING FOR A MARINE TANK OILER
 Contract Position
 Duration: 3 Years

INTRODUCTION
Akermas Energy is an indigenous company incorporated to deliver value added services to her clients. We aim at providing engineering and integrated solutions in developing new facilities, and highly conversant with classification rules & other standards and codes for Oil and Gas.

RESPONSIBILITIES
 Perform engine room watches, keeping an eye on the machinery and ensuring it stays running
 Monitor and record all marine gauge readings
 Assist their superior (Motorman) in starting and operating machinery
 Clean, lubricate and service machinery, grease all moving parts of machinery
 Conduct maintenance, repair and overhauls of engine-room machinery
 To land engineering supplies onboard ship and keep storage areas clean
 The oiler occupation may include other duties related to the mission or looking out for the safety of the vessel and its personnel. The primary duty remains the engines

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
The ideal candidate should be highly motivated, and able to demonstrate a positive attitude towards safety in the workplace.
 The Oiler is one of the ratings (technician) in the engine department of a Merchant Marine Ship
 He needs to have an FPSO or Tanker working experience as oiler/fitter, with minimum 5yrs working experience.
 To get the job as oiler, you need to be physically fit as the job require you to work in cramped conditions, on your feet, around loud equipment
 Minimum Trade Test Certification in Mechanical discipline (Oiler)
 Registered member of Nigeria Seafarers.
 Current BOSIET Certification (Oil & Gas requirement)
 Medical Fitness to Work certification
 Basic training liquified gas tanker cargo operations.
 Proficiency in survival craft and rescue boat.
 Advance training for oil tanker cargo operations.
