8 Abnormal Things Nigerians Think Is Normal by logicalhumour: 12:19pm On Jul 03, 2022 |
I'll go straight to the point: 1. The heavy presence of military escorting politicians 2. The distance between public office holders (politicians) and the public they represent 3. Indiscriminate "decampings" of politicians from one party to another 4. The outrageous amount of daily unnatural deaths in Nigeria 5. "Literates" who know near to nothing about their country's history nor their rights as citizens 6. The fact that every Nigerian (which includes babies) owe over N190,000 of national debt 7. Tax payers who know nothing about how the national budget is distributed/how much is allocated to their state, LG/ward 8. The apparent immunity of past public office holders to probing. IMO, these are very abnormal things almost every Nigerian (including the literate) think is normal, or do not even bother to think about. 3 Likes 2 Shares |

The list is more than you think but some people in this Nigeria who kiss the anus hole of politician are wired to reason otherwise. Before you see heavy military presence following a politician in a normal country you know there is a serious problem 5 Likes 1 Share |

Not that Nigerians would not have been interested in some of these things but whether or not, no matter the agitation, argument, protest, etc, it makes no difference. 2. If you look so much into these things, the leaders will see you as a threat and you know how they usually solve that one 3. Even the people you sometimes fight to liberate will be the ones to sell you out to their oppressors 4. Too much suffering has become a way of life for the average Nigerian, hence he maintains the "status quo" 1 Like 1 Share |

Some time ego, I saw news of a lecturer that attended an even with police escort. When I asked why a lecturer would have escort, fools attacked me and said he might be a senior lecturer or a VC. It is abnormal for even a VC to use escort. But majority of Nigerians are stupid. The same way they stupidly have offices of the first ladies in the federal, the state and the local government levels. 4 Likes 1 Share |

immortalcrown:Another ridiculous thing! I don't know how much the office of the first lady engulfs. However, state first ladies' offices eat at least N2b annually. That's a minimum of N70b annually. And local government first ladies dey too o. 1 Like |
