My sister has been using hers for like 8 months, I drove it once, has good legroom, responsive acceleration, bland interior, very good AC, good ground clearance but don't ever, I repeat don't ever wade in pool of water, no enter flooded roads I believe the air intake position is very bad

Yeah, change the air intake hose and replace the position probably.

Switch off AC when wading through flood.

Though her unit may just be a one off thing but I drove the car in a pool of water I would normally drive compact sedans (corolla, civic, Almera) the car switched off and refused to start for like 2mins, when it started I floored the pedal just to drive it away from the flood, though after 10mins the extreme vibration and what not stopped but check engine light came on

My guess was 2 things
1. Air intake sucked in water.

2. Water entered the wrong place from the exhaust or the exhaust was flooded with water hence engine couldn't breath

No enter flooded area you still dey argue no worry enjoy the wahala you want for yourself.

The car is a very good car, ensure you do your maintenance regularly, avoid flooded areas not just because of your intake but also to prevent rust on the under of the car, and there are come electrical components that if water enters you will pay darely for it avoid flooded area. Once the water is reaching almost half of your tire turn back except bandits are pursuing you.
