Terrorism and violent extremism are Africa’s greatest security threats.. this is obvious as many African countries including, Nigeria, Somalia, sudan, chad, Cameroon, kenya, mali etc are currently in battle with different kinds of Terrorist groups and bandits

From al-shabbab, ISIS, ISWAP to boko haram, African countries are now faced with intervening in most security issues usually with the use of deadly force. This deadly force involves the use of modern munitions and weapons all of which are usually imported from the western world and Asia.
This has always been the trend not until recent years.

we now have industries capable of manufacturing MRAPS, Tanks, Gun boats, war ships, missiles and even attack aircrafts. yes we there is a defense industry/company that makes fighter aircrafts, attack planes, attack helicopters and even ISR drones capable of launching missiles

These leading African companies are currently creating a slow but steady transitioning that could eventually turn Africa into a leading producers and consumer of it own munitions and weapons

These are the top 5 indigenous defense industries in Africa
