This why cooking gas price is soaring and gas power plants are either shuttered or operating way below capacities.

Virtually all our gas is going to Europe .

This thing Buhari is the worst thing to ever happen to Nigeria.

*A TALE OF TWO FORMER GOVERNORS*

Two men were governors one in Lagos the other in Anambra . Towards the end of their second term, the one in Lagos sent his retirement bill and got his house of assembly to approve what you see below as his yearly pension.

1. 300% annual salary as severance package as approved by RMAFAC.
2. 100% of annual basic salary of incumbent gov as salary for LIFE even after leaving office.
3. Six new cars every 3 years
4. A new house in Lagos, minimum 5 bedroom
5. A new house in Abuja or any other location, minimum 5 bedroom.
6. Free medical care for him and members of his family for life.
7. Entitled to cooks, stewards, Gardners, and domestic staffs, all pensionable.
8. 300% of his annual basic salary as governor every 2 years as furniture allowance
9. 100% of annual basic salary as governor as his house maintenance allowance
10. Two DSS officers, 1 female officer for his wife and eight policemen to guard him.
11. 25% of his annual basic salary for personal assistants.
12. 30% of his annual basic salary for car maintenance .
13. 20% of his annual basic salary as utilities maintenance.
14. Pensionable drivers, no limits to the number.

This is apart from what he gets as a percentage of collections from Alpha Beta for tax collections for Lagos State and the total control he has over the governor and the treasury.

*But See what Peter Obi collects from Anambra State since leaving office as governor*:

1. No gratuity
2. No pensions
3. No houses
4. No cars
5. No allowances of any kind
6. No maintenances of any kind.
7. No personal assistants paid by the state.
8. No domestic staffs paid by the state.
9. No aids sponsored by the state.
10. Not even pure water.
11. No shishi from the State.

Now the two men want to be president.

*So you choose today who means well for Nigeria and who will serve the people selflessly*.

Am just exposing your mind to see the truth. It is now your decision to make and convince others.
Use your reasoning. Vote and support wisely…. This is the man who wants to become your president.. The man Tinubu thinks We are second-class citizens ...

Even if Nigeria want to sell gas to Europe it would take years to build the infrastructure.
Gas is high because 90% of our consumption is imported from overseas

If Lionel Messi when he retires from any of his club (whether Barca or PSG) and he demands for a similar severance package as the former, I will support him whole heartedly. After all, he has paid his dues.

But if Harry Maguire, on his retirement demands nothing from his club like the latter, it would not be surprising. After all, he contributed nada to Manchester united..

You speaking trash.

We don't import any gas.

All the gas we use for cooking comes from LNG facilities here in Nigeria.

Majority of our power plants utilize gas from LNG.

So you just spewing trash claiming we are importing gas when we are a major exporter of LNG.

NLNG has about four LNG tankers used in gas exports. Now they are servicing Euro gas tankers at the expense of power plants and local consumers.

This why power output has dropped drastically. Since NLNG will rather sell gas to Europe than to power plants and local consumers.

lol. bros, most nigerians actually know about all these facts, but they are blinded by 3 Factors that's hindering Nigeria's development and cohesion namely ; 1. tribalism, 2. religious affiliations, 3, corruption.
until nigerians decide to eschews all these inherently negative attitudes, the nation will remain stagnant and retrogressive and nothing will ever work out fine, because we prefer to sacrifice merits, and choose mediocrity.
the most annoying aspect of all these, is that as long as these wicked and highly corrupt entities continue to be in charge, every Nigerian is a victim of their misrule, both those that support them and those that don't support them.
can any body remind me what has an average citizen from Katsina benefited from Oga bubu's presidency, because he is from Katsina?
are they more secured, empowered, developed, because their son is in aso-rock ?
the answer is clearly a shouting NO.
I pity nigerians if they eventually allow, either PDP or APC to occupy aso-rock in 2023, their current sufferings is just a starting point.

The gas need refining before it can be use as cooking gas. Just like crude oil is refined to be use in powering engine.
Nigeria import cooking gas, the same way she imports refined petroleum products.
This link would clear your doubts. https://guardian.ng/business-services/nigeria-dependent-on-cooking-gas-imports-from-u-s-algeria-equatorial-guinea/

I understand that unrefined gas can be liquified and sold. The logistics makes it more expensive. That is why the Russia gas is preferable because it comes through a tap across Europe. The buyer of our gas would prefer a delivery via tap, which would take years to build.
Another point is that Germany has only started building it's LNG terminal.
https://www.google.com/amp/s/amp.dw.com/en/germany-starts-building-its-own-lng-terminal/av-61701364

As for low power in Nigeria, if the unrefined LNG is not transported within Nigeria via a tap, then the price would increase because the price of diesel and petrol. You could also say the same thing on the prices of ingredients used in liquifying the unrefined gas. It all fall on infrastructure. Peace mate
