President Muhammadu Buhari, the President of Nigeria has shared a tweet through his official Twitter handle in reaction to the attack on Kuje Medium Correctional Facility. In the tweet, Buhari asked how terrosts organize, have weapons, attack security installation and get away with it. He said that he is awaiting a comprehensive report on the attack.

In the tweet, Buhari asked how terrosts organize, have weapons, attack security installation and get away with it. He said that he is awaiting a comprehensive report on the attack. The President also expressed his disappointment with the intelligence system in Nigeria. He said that he was saddened by the incident. On Tuesday night gunmen believed to be terrorists stormed a medium correctional center in Kuje Area Council of Abuja and launched an attack. Many prisoners reportedly escaped. Furthermore, the president said that it was a shocking development. Attack on prison and security facilities are common in other states in Nigeria but it rarely occurs in the Federal Capital Territory. President Buhari released the tweet amidst heightened criticisms on how his government has been managing the security situation in Nigeria.
