Three Governors on the Platform of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Governor Babajide Sanwoolu of Lagos state, Governor Kayode Fayemi of Ekiti and Governor Rotimi Akeredolu met with the Governor of Rivers state, Nyesom Wike in Port Harcourt on Friday.

This meeting is coming amidst a deep crisis rocking the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP. POLITICS NIGERIA learned that the three governors are emissaries sent by APC 2023 Presidential Candidate, Bola Ahmed Tinubu to seek his(Wike) support.

The ruling party and Mr Tinubu are believed to be trying to capitalise on the crisis in the opposition party to seek the support of Mr Wike for the forthcoming presidential poll.

It can be recalled that the 2023 Presidential Candidate of the PDP, Atiku Abubakar refused to select Wike as his running mate even after a panel setup to select a Vice Presidential candidate for the party chose the Rivers Governor.

This has caused a sharp divide in the opposition party. Speaking on the meeting, Fayemi said;

"We are going to Port Harcourt to meet members of the APC in the state but have decided to use the opportunity to pay a courtesy call on our colleague, the governor of the state,”.

The Rivers State governor has tacitly remained opposed to his party’s candidate, Atiku, since the former vice president announced Mr Okowa as his running mate.

It can be recalled that just last week, the governor of Benue State, Samuel Ortom, decried the treatment the PDP and Atiku had allegedly meted on Mr Wike and advised the candidate to placate the governor.

He will clash with amaechi if he eventually joins APC, he should remain so he can maintain his political relevance.

Where PDP/Atiku fvcked up was allowing Peter Obi to leave the party and picking okowa over wike for VP (very sure Atiku is scared of karma)

Where LP/Obi fvcked up was not making his foundation strong enough bfr coming out to contest and to spoil it all, he went to pick a paper weight northerner as VP forgetting politics is a game of numbers

Where Tinubu/APC will bleep up is agreeing to a Muslim Muslim ticket. let's see how it goes tho but in any case as it may be, all the aspirant are all useless
