He never wanted Twitter, he was looking for an excuse to sell his overinflated Tesla stock (in the guise of raising cash for Twitter purchase) without alarming the market

I am not suprised. Too much bots and ficticious accounts from a loss making overhyped platform. They lost it completely the moment they yielded their toxoc platform to enemies of Nigeria.
All the enemies of Nigeria will always lose las las. God bless Nigeria for ever.

The person he wanted to unleash, Trump, said he’s never coming back to Twitter. So idk what’s the point of buying it

Notorious Genius Fraudster.
He must have secretly sold his 9% shares at 3x the price he bought it.

He never wanted to buy it to begin with. The guy loves clout too much plus pump and dump.

He said he was buying for free speech, but he himself has shown repeatedly that he can't tolerate opposing views or opinions.
He’s a classic intolerant jerk.
His employees are not even allowed to speak freely

Elon is rich and can afford it ... But as a true business man a risk manager... You don't dip deep....

He's not seeing the potential of earning what he wants to invest .. Rather I think he wants to create something at a lesser amount and push it to everyone to use ...
Lol, he has to sell some shares from tesla or space x to be able to afford such amount.
Nobody on earth has 44 billion cash to invest in a company.

It shouldn't have come as a surprise due to falling stock prices in facing of a looming recession.

Such a deal would have made some sense with sky high Tesla prices despite the risk the purchase of Twitter makes no real financial sense.

It's strikes me more as the Elon Musk equivalent of Bezos purchase of the New York Times (I hope I got the newspaper right grin)

Jeff Bezos purchase was rather timid and sensible rather than this outsized bid for this social media titan whose return on investment is unsure

Will he still be taken seriously in the business world especially when he acts as investor or intends buying investments?
