No need for Trans-Atlantic Gas pipeline, Europe is closer to North Africa & Nigeria do ship Gas to some countries in Europe, its left for them to strike a deal with Nigeria &Gas will get to them, that's all.

There is need for Trans-Atlantic Gas pipeline. It reduces delay, cut cost among other benefits. Besides, Nigeria while rich in gas does not have the capacity to ramp up the production to service these economies. At least not yet.

If you're considering cost effective Pipeline Technology then Trans-Saharan Gas Pipeline is better off in cost &proximity to Europe. Do you know the cost of laying Gas pipeline underwater, deploying Subsea Technology via Atlantic to Europe? Difficult terrain & weather?
In Oil&Gas industry what determine the cost of production & Infrastructures is Location&Depth.

Are you also aware when Nigeria had surplus of Gas to supply but no market, massive Ships load of Gas were just anchoring, even before the Russian-Ukraine war.
Nigeria has the Gas production capacity to feed Europe.
We also lack the much needed storage Facilities to manage it here or perhaps make use of it or convert it to other purposes/usage.
We are trying to look at effective Gas-to-Liquid(GTL), Gas-to-Power(GTP) LNG, &recently LNG Train7 project etc.

It we had great leaders they would invest in infrastructure to increase OUR CAPACITY to USE gas INSIDE Nigeria both for home and industrial use. They should be curious about what the gas is used for when it reaches its destination.

I am talking countries that IMPORT gas whilst we that have the gas what do we have? What do our people cook with? And we are talking of BORROWING to export whilst our own people are suffering.

The facts are there for the countries that use gas , Nigeria is not in the top 35 but is NUMBER 7 by population.
Well if Nigeria knew what to do with gas we won't be importing glass, industrial chemicals or fertilizer.
Our people would not be cooking with kerosene
Crucially rather than just guessing what is the business case for borrowing to build a pipeline to export gas to Europe and WHY should Nigeria pay for it. Why can't Europe pay?

The reality is that even with the Ukraine war gas is relatively cheap and that is why we are even considering such a pipeline
It is 97 % to the benefit of Europe and 3% to ours.
One day Europe and Russia will settle their issues .We need to PUT NIGERIA FIRST
