You have a limited understanding of what development in a country is all about….especially a country like Nigeria that can be considered to be chronically underdeveloped in all facets!

It’s a lie to posit that absolutely nothing was done by way of infrastructure in the OBJ era, and consideration must be given to the socio-economic environment he was inheriting from the military and the very low price of oil at the time! Despite these factors, he still managed to get our debt cancelled and it’s also a known fact that during the OBJ years, we began to see the emergence of a thriving middle-class and the HDI began an upward trajectory movement! There was a palpable feeling of hope and optimism in our economic fortunes….despite the muslim core north who wanted to rain on the parade by instituting sharia in their states to try and cause problems for the OBJ gov’t!

In contrast, we have your darling Buhari regime that has borrowed the country into a coma, and yet has little to show for the tens of billions of dollars his gov’t has borrowed! You set the vast sums of money he has borrowed side-by-side with the so called infrastructure you lot will not let us hear word for…..and it just doesn’t add up! Besides Lagos-Ibadan railway; Lagos-Ibadan expressway; Abuja-Kaduna railway (which had reached a substantial level of completion by 2015); 2nd Niger bridge (which the GEJ gov’t had already paid up 30 billion naira and which has been funded severally with recovered Abacha loot and which will also be tolled); and a couple of expressways here and there that are being funded with sukuk money….besides all these and a couple of others i may have missed, do these match up to the tens of billions of dollars this unimaginative and useless Buhari gov’t has borrowed since 2015!? They are incapable of thinking outside the box, and if the price of oil and production levels heads south, they can’t think of anything else besides borrowing!

If i were to ask you to mention what infrastructure Buhari has built in the south-east region to justify all these borrowed billions, what infrastructure will you mention!?

Finally, note also the way HDI, national security and other developmental indicators have all tanked ever since your man took over!

So you see, there’s much more that goes into the progress of a country than building a couple of ancient railway routes and expressways…..much of which are yet to be completed as we speak!
