Muslims are minorities in the south while Christian are minorities in the north in as much as the southwest has evolved past religious sentiments the other regions haven't he has to consider other zones too. If we go by religious sentiments then no southern Muslim will ever be president in Nigeria nor northern Christian no matter how influential he is . Tinubu cannot be said to be a religious fanatic because Southwest is the most religious tolerant people in the country he has a pastor wife and has worked with several Christians in the past. Southwest looks beyond religion but competence.
It's best we grow past this sentiments .if only the other regions can be as tolerant of other religions in Nigeria then this won't be a topic and we will be better off.
