Tinubu is the master politician in Nigeria today; the chief of them all. That name Jagaban didn't come as wishful thinking. And the way he trounced his opponents at the APC presidential primaries was a reminder of his political prowess. He is a great man by human standards. People complain about his real age and identity, but I actually respect the fact that he was able to hide all this from public view. You only know what the man wants you to know, and he is not moved by verbal attacks against his person.

Again, he seems to be completely in control of his ship. You don't dare him and go Scot free. You also cannot force him to do what he doesn't want. He is strong-willed and opinionated. These, I believe, are strengths for him.

However, picking Kashim Shettima, a known Boko Haram sympathiser and a fellow Muslim, shows Tinubu as desperate for power and ambition at he expense of morality. It is antithetical to continued cohesion of the various nations that make up the Nigerian geopolitical space. In taking this step, Tinubu has thrown equity and fairness to the winds and has made a bold statement, albeit non-verbal, that his ambition is indeed worth more than Nigeria's unity.

In a country like Nigeria where contracts are awarded based on whom you know or related to, expect that a lot of the Christians and non-muslims may be marginalised. It is an unwritten code, but operates in full force in Nigeria. Buhari raised a pedestal for his kit and kin to rise to the top of most leadership positions in Nigeria and ensured that it would take many years to undo his actions, and then comes Ahmed Tinubu to consolidate Buhari's antics by choosing another Musulman as Vice.

What stops the next senate president and Speaker of House of Reps from being core non-liberal Muslims? After all Buhari, Ahmed Lawan (senate president), Femi Hakeem Gbajabiamila (Speaker, HOR), Chief Judge (Tanko, Rtd), US and Alkali Baba (police IG) Gen. Famous Yahaya (CoAS) are all of the same religious extraction. Muslims ARE NOT BAD PEOPLE, but equity and a sense of belonging are important in Nation building.

Tinubu by choosing Shetima has boldly proclaimed that he does not give a hoot about nation building, and that his ambition trumps morality.

His ambition is as well worth the blood of every Nigerian!

Are you saying it's Peter Obi that has morals and no ambitions?

Why not campaign and vote for your candidate without smearing those of others.

And by this baseless allegations you think they'll abandon their candidate for yours.

Don't be baseless. And tell me one baseless allegation that Tinubu had made against Jonathan.

Just one and from Tinubu.

These are campaign promises which all aspirants are guilty of not fulfilling.

They're different from baseless allegations which you accused Tinubu of doing against Jonathan.

Read and comprehend. It isn't that difficult. Your conscience is judging you, not me. All through the article no allusion whatsoever was made to any other candidate. This whole piece is all about Tinubu and the consequence of his ambition.

You are running where no one is pursuing. Tackle the points raised like an educated Homo sapien, which I believe you are, and stop chasing shadows!

I perceived you're alluding it's not fair to Christians for Tinubu to have chosen another Muslim as a VP.

Where you missed the point is, politics is so much pragmatic and calculations are based on results. Of what benefit is it to have spent material and human resources when you know it won't bring in any tangibles.

Were you a strategist to Tinubu, or any other political aspirant, and knowing that elections are fought to be won, what would you suggest to your contender in this situation?

This is exactly the essence of the post. At what point does someone draw the line. Do we say that so long as it's politics all morality should be thrown to the winds? Tinubu behaved badly when he brought Buhari a coup plotter who destroyed a duly elected civilian government, a BokoHaram sympathiser and recession peddler to come lead us all because he wanted to be VP and then president. Saraki botched his VP plans then. Today Tinubu has gone back to the same M-M setup that the party rejected then.

Yes, politics is about numbers, but equity and fairness are also paramount. Using Shettima as VP is a brazen rejection of the moral values that have kept Nigeria together.

And to be honest Nigeria wasn't created based on that premise. Local arrangements do promote inclusiveness but it's rigid application promotes division and a sense of entitlements.

The PDP it was, I believed, who championed this, but even it has many times reneged. And since it's not a constitutional matter it's assumed nothing wrong is done - and if nothing wrong is done, no moral code is broken.

The writer is MAD.

Now that the VP is Pastor Judas Osinbajo, how has he been able to protect the lives and properties of Christians?

Just two hours into election, you will all start crying blood, because the results will be obvious that Jagaban Borgu is miles ahead of other clowns.

Tinubu's wife is a Pastor in RCCG, did he marry her over 40 years ago for politics?

Tinubu appointed a RCCG Pastor Judas Osinbajo as Buhari's VP, you did not think that Tinubu was insensitive or disrespect to Christians then. Tinubu selected, yes, he selected Ambode and later Sanwo-Olu who are both Christians as Lagos governors, you were happy with that. Even Fashola that Tinubu first selected as Lagos governor after him, Fashola's wife is a Catholic Dame. When Tinubu selected Ben Akabueze as Commissioner for Budget of Lagos State, and later as DG Budget Office for Buhari, you did not think that Tinubu had no respect for Christians then.

We will humiliate you all on election day, just two hours into the election, you will start shouting Biafra or Death again, and the Nigerian Army will be waiting to whip your asses.

Your father is mad!

What gives you assurance that Tinubu candidacy will solve any of Nigeria problems? Has he been able to solve Lagos problems since he has been ruling for about 24 years?

He has been ruling Lagos for about 24 years yet he could not build a hospital to treat himself? He will rather run to London with his private jet.

Obviously you are one of the 50 million youths he will recruit to fight Boko Haram created by your types.

No the writer is not mad. The writer is only revealing the immorality of what Tinubu-Shettima ticket espouses. It is brazen insensitivity to act as though no other religious group exists in Nigeria. The country has always used a bi-faith presidency to foster unity and inclusiveness.

Madam Tinubu being a Christian is useless in the scheme of things. Who is she when and where decisions touching the nation are made? Even Osinbajo found it hard with Buhari when he was peddling RUGA and appointing his kit and kin to high places in Nigeria.

You are being clever by half. Sit back and consider the meaning of what Tinubu is trying to do and that's if you still have a living conscience.

History repeats itself. The man Tinubu already said the spirit of 1993 is upon Nigeria. And that spirit made sure MKO never sat on that seat for even a day. So may it be for Tinubu since his ambition is all that matters; since his lifelong ambition supercedes national security, equity and fairness.

Like said in the piece, his ambition is indeed worth the blood of Nigerians.

As for you, Mr. Poster, you have just one vote. You are vulgar, irresponsible, and completely bereft of morality. You lack logic and have no modicum of decency in you. And who told you I believe in Biafra?

You and your principal will fail. Nigerians will ensure it. Mark it!
