Hello guys.

Most people tend play the current popular FG titles like SF5, Tekken 7, etc. The issue with this is that a lot of guys, especially those without consoles, sail the high seas... meaning that if, like me, you have no local scene, you're pretty much stuck playing the AI (unless you use Parsec, which is good but is a heavy data drainer). This is why Fightcade is a very good (and free) alternative.

For those uninformed, Fightcade is a free PC platform that hosts a lot classic fighting games like SF 3rd Strike, KOF 98, Marvel vs Capcom 2, SF 2 turbo, Capcom vs SNK 2, SF Alpha series, Dark Stalkers (Vampire Savior) and so much more from different consoles (PS1 emulation via duckstation is currently in development so no Tekken 3 or Bloody roar for now).
The best part is that you don't have to go looking for the roms yourself. You can simply download the community made Json file, paste it in your Fightcade directory and it automatically download any game you join. It has a low PC barrier as even a potato will have no problems running the games there. And yes, it has a good rollback netcode.

Also, the connection issue where Nigerians couldn't connect to one another without a vpn has been resolved. The connection now is mostly based on your internet speed.
I understand that this problem was what many of us decided to drop FC, but it's finally been resolved.

A whatsapp group and a discord server has been created so we could play other Nigerians, run some casual sets, maybe organize a small tournament or two and have fun. Feel free to join any of them, even if it's just one. No pressure.

PS. We also play Guilty Gear Accent Core as it's the cheapest FG on steam with rollback netcode.
