"So my wife’s car which has a comprehensive AIICO insurance of N10,000,000.00 got damaged by flood in Owerri. I contacted the agent yesterday for them to fix the car as the damage is up to the tune of N650K since the engine has to be replaced, guess what AIICO told me via their agent, that the car has to suffer a physical damage esp via accident before their Insurrance can cover it. Please how true is this? Cos I’m pissed and feel cheated."

When I say insurance companies don't pay claims to individuals, some folks call me names. If it is a company, they would have paid. |

confirm if the policy you have, has an extension for flood damage. if it does, they cannot reject your claim. but check for that, before you proceed further. |

Hi, It means your policy doesn't cover flood. Check your insurance policy document and read the terms. You can actually request to add flood to the cover and that would be factored into the policy as an add-on. |
