The Federal Government has said it is working not only to end the current strike by the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) but to eliminate future strikes by the union.

The government stated this at the 81st Plenary Meeting of the Joint Consultative Committee in Education (JCCE) Plenary Meeting held in Yola, Adamawa State.

Permanent Secretary of the Federal Ministry of Education, Andrew David Adejo, who spoke to newsmen on the side of the meeting, stressed that moves were being perfected to make it unnecessary for ASUU to ever go back on strike in the future.

"Government is doing everything to make sure that ASUU members come back to work,” Adejo said about the current strike.

He added: “As I speak, I can assure you that government isn’t asleep over our children not being in school. Issues being discussed are such that when perfected, ASUU will not have to ever go on strike again.”

Asked to comment on the College of Education Academic Staff Union (COASU) whose members have also been on strike, Adejo said the COASU members would shortly have reason to return to work.

“COASU are very likely to call off their strike soon because the issues are being addressed and discussions have gone far,” Adejo said.

The five-day 81st JCCE plenary meeting, which started on Monday, is scheduled to last till Friday.

It is being held under the theme: ‘Strengthening of security and safety in Nigerian schools for the achievement of education 2030 agenda.’

ASUU will be resolved by the next incoming president Peter Obi...

This incumbent leaders are already tired and the man Osinbajo is demoralized... He used to be active and wades into solution as a problem solver... but since his party men sold Agbado and Cassava headmaster... He has given up on any issue of this kind...

The president himself is tired and as clueless as ever... Dude is now the president and that's all that matters... anybody can go to hell...

The funny thing about Nigeria is that our oppressors have the guts to say it to our faces without any remorse!

Too late, it beats my imagination that Buhari didn't deem it fit to meet ASSUU one on one all these while. At times I wonder if this is Buhari I used to know.
He was busy flying from one country to another. Insecurity everywhere you go.

By holding useless meetings. Even Tinubu that said he was going to solve the ASUU strike, ended up holding useless meeting with ASUU.

This is a warning to Nigerians, if Tinubu becomes the president, all he will do when terrorist attack the south is condemn the attack and hold useless meeting with security chiefs.

Seniorwriter:
SMH .......Imagine keeping able bodied youths @home and idle for over 120days! What a government!.

In another news if you have a browsing gadget and access to internet as a student in this ASUU strike period and you are not earning even @least $5 daily via online with those viable assets then you are most unwise.
There are thousands of earning means available on the online space which has a community of over 1billion active users that are real and active and need one service or product or the other ......imagine having just a chunck of 100 of them converted to your clients or customers and you deliver with a pegged profit of $2 even if it's monthly that's $200 cash outs on a monthly and the good news is that you can grow your clientele/ customers exponentially
.

So if you are interested reach out to the Facebook ID on my profile....NO PMs please because I no longer attend to it.

It seems as if it's the whole of the tertiary education that's grounded

Shame on the APC government

Shame on their supporters

The APC stallions are busy making sure their kids and grandkids continue to recieve international education abroad while the children of the masses are sitting at home pressing lappy and phones
