wrong because it can also be spelt as igbo

they mean the same thing. egbo (weed) re mi

igbo (weed) re mi as well

igbo (ethnic group) re do

so it all depends on ur pronunciation

Its that same in the Igbo language also. The pronunciations are very different.

Weed = (vocalisation) e-gbo (the gbo has an upward pitch)
ethnic group= (vocalisastion) e-gbo (the gbo has an downward pitch)

they mean the same thing. egbo (weed) re mi - "egbó" - I have never in my life heard of a Yoruba word like this

igbo (weed) re mi as well - igbó: correct word for weed in Yoruba

igbo (ethnic group) re do - "igbò" - I have also never in my life heard of a Yoruba word like this too. And the ethnic people you mean would be pronounced ÌGBÒ, atleast that's it sounded when they pronounce it themselves.

so it all depends on your pronunciation
