"The apparent importance of one area of law doesn't affect the relevance of others."

That was the response I got after seeking the advice of a friend on the choice of specialisation in the legal profession. The need to have an area of focus is important considering the number of legal practitioners in the country.

I've always had a bias toward Labour/Employment law for personal reasons, but the Tech law tsunami taking over the internet made me feel that's the only available option for any serious lawyer. I still study books/articles on Tech law and other aspects of legal practice, but her words gave focus and direction.

In a bid to gain more knowledge of employment law and HR practice. I have developed a blog to share my discoveries and thoughts. This is based on the notion that teaching is one of the best ways to learn. That is, students who spend time teaching what they've learned go on to show a better understanding of the subject than other students.

The posts are carefully designed to cater for the needs of an average person who has no legal education.
