Timothy Here Again,

Today is another TGIF. This is a clear indication that time is not waiting for you if you keep procrastinating on your studies.

Today your ICAN Support continues with Advanced Taxation from 8:00pm to 10:00pm and Financial Reporting from 7:00pm to 9:00pm.

There is this common question which looms large in the mind of many students who are doing everything in their power to pass their exams despite the fact that it does not always favour them.

The question is

"Why can't I study and understand Concepts very well?"

This Is a very big question that looms large in the minds of many ICAN students.

It is possible that you have overwhelmed yourself with the way you are currently studying. Maybe you’re sitting at your desk for 8 hours straight, without taking breaks.

Maybe you’re re-reading your textbook without taking notes on important concepts.

Or you’re waiting until the last minute and then staying up all night to cram and study before an important exam.

Either way, whatever you’re doing now is not working.

Time to devise a better study plan! This plan can include a few important steps.

1. Study Goal: Promise to reach one study goal a day which might be understanding a concept and its full application.

2. Study 'hard topics' in the morning i.e Calculation-related topics. Frankly, the best time to study those topics which require more cognitive power is the early morning hours. not evening when you are exhausted already.

3. Give yourself a break: This is not new to you by now. This simply study for 25 minutes and take a 5 minutes break to stretch and walk around. USE OF PHONES, SOCIAL MEDIA OR TV is highly prohibited.

4. Summarize key concepts and ideas.Taking notes as you’re reading improves your brain's cognitive skills, makes retention of information easier, and boosts memory.

Knowing what you know now that your success in ICAN Exams does not rest with others but with you, get started NOW.

And if you are waiting until everything is perfect in an imperfect world, sincerely, I understand, however, Time is running out. Besides, if you can procrastinate, then you can also decide to study and Pass. It is all your DECISION.
