If you've got a brain, you would first engage it and ask why Tinubu wasn't arrested like everyone else caught with drug in abroad? Because Tinubu committed no crime. US don't play with people caught with drug. They're arrested on the spot. They go to court from the prison. Tinubu wasn't arrested because he committed no crime.
If you've got a brain, you would also know what an investment company entails which was what Tinubu was operating as a top accountant. If you've got a brain you would realise that Tinubu was only operating an investment company (compass investment company) which is no different from microfinance banks where people invest their funds in.
Of course some questionable people could have invested their money in it. After these people got arrested, their funds got traced to every banks and investment banks/companies where they saved their money. Their money was eventually siezed. That was all.
It's like calling a bank a drug dealer just because some questionable people saved their money in it. Na ment? Do you have a brain at all?

Now, a lot of rhetorics has been flying around of the possibility of Kwankwaso working for Tinubu but I want to debunk that speculation and state why it’s practically impossible for Kwankwaso to work for Tinubu.
Before I say anything further, I want to state that anything is possible and I’m giving room for eventualities. However, the submission(s) in this piece is purely from empirical, sociological and political point of view as informed by the dictates of the Nigerian society of today.

The reason Kwankwaso cannot work for Tinubu is simply because it will be the end of his political career.
Let’s put it this way, imagine Peter Obi stepping down for Atiku under whatever guise or calculation. Nobody, and I mean nobody, will ever take him serious again, ever. He will never have this kind of momentum around him again. You know why? Because people will say, “who knows who he will step down for this time?”
That’s the position Kwankwaso finds himself in the north.
The southern media may not be reporting it but Kwankwaso is making big inroads in the north. And those supporting him are doing so because they believe in what he did in the past and that he can replicate it if he becomes president. This is amongst other reasons they support him.
Now, imagine him stepping down for Tinubu… do you think his supporters will ever take him serious? Oh! You want to remind northerners are different and may not see it the way Peter Obi supporters would see it? Why? Because they have no minds of their own? Die that talk.
If Kwankwaso would ever step down from the race, it would be for Atiku. And the justification would be for northern interest just like Tambuwal argued. I’m sure his supporters would relate to that more than they would if he was to step down for Tinubu.
So, in my estimation, even though on personal level, Kwankwaso might wanna help Tinubu win the election, but for the sake of pride and for his political future in the north and amongst his supporters, I envisage Kwankwaso being on the ballot till the end of the elections.

Mynd44 Point of correction, there is no way Kwankwaso will step down or work with Atiku in the current political atmosphere. Tinubu is his right man, right choice. Kwankwaso knowns the very root of Nigeria's problem than Atiku and Tinubu but he also knows that Atiku is a very bad choice for Nigeria. Nigerians will remember Buhari for good if Atiku becomes President; Atiku is capitalist, greedy, insatiable and have no aorta of concern for masses and can do everything to buy the elites, media houses and religious leaders to make his bid and his govt look good if he wins election unlike Kwankwaso who is a realist. Kwankwaso made it clear recently in Arise TV interview that if he is to step down it would be for Tinubu and he praised the competence of Tinubu in the interview. Kwankwaso left both APC and PDP because people of his character aren't needed in PDP. Politics need people who are ready satisfy the perpetual looting of treasury, keep elites in the circle of looting and manage citizens not to understand the cult. Tambuwal and Atiku orchestrated the persecution of his ally that led to his exit because in a fair Primary Election and true popularity not buying of conscience Kwankwaso is much popular in the North than Atiku. Kwankwaso emergence as Presidential candidate in NNPP and not as PDP member like in 2019 is a good case for Tinubu. With Atiku, it's impossible to realize that ambition as after 8 years of Atiku, the south will forcefully demand power.. This is a more sensible take than what the OP is saying. It is political suicide to support Atiku given his own ambition. But I like the guy nevertheless! 1 Like |
