Give people more than they expect and do it cheerfully.

When you say, "I love you", mean it.

When you say, "I'm sorry", look the person in the eye.

Be engaged at least six months before you get married.

Believe in love at first sight.

Never laugh at anyone's dreams.

Love deeply and passionately. You might get hurt but it's the only way to live life completely.

In disagreements, fight fairly. No name calling.

Don't judge people by their relatives.

Talk slow but think quick.

When someone asks you a question you don't want to answer, smile and ask, "Why do you want to know?"

Remember that great love and great achievements involve great risk.

Call your mom.

Say "bless you" when you hear someone sneeze.

Remember the three R's: Respect for self; Respect for others; Responsibility for all your actions.

Don't let a little dispute injure a great friendship.

When you realize you've made a mistake, take immediate steps to correct it.

Smile when picking up the phone. The caller will hear it in your voice.

Marry a partner you love to talk to. As you get older, her/his conversational skills will be as important as any other.

Spend some time alone.

Open your arms to change, but don't let go of your values.

Remember that silence is sometimes the best answer.

Read more books and watch less TV.

Live a good, honourable life. Then when you get older and think back, you'll get to enjoy it a second time.

Trust in God but lock your car.

A loving atmosphere in your home is so important. Do all you can to create a tranquil harmonious home.

In disagreements with loved ones, deal with the current situation. Don't bring up the past.

Share your knowledge. It's a way to achieve immortality.

Be gentle with the earth.

Never interrupt when you are being flattered.

Mind your own business.

Once a year, go someplace you've never been before.

If you make a lot of money, put it to use helping others while you are living.

Remember that not getting what you want is sometimes a stroke of luck.

Learn the rules then break some.

Remember that the best relationship is one where your love for each other is greater than your need for each other.

1. Speak to People. Even if you do not know their names. Nothing is as nice as a cheerful word of greeting.

2. Smile at People. It takes 72 muscles to frown and only 14 to smile. Your smile is one of your finest assets. Use It!

3. Call People by Name. The sweetest music to anyone's ears is the sound of his/her own name.

4. Be Friendly and Helpful. If you want have friends, be one.

5. Be Genuinely Interested in People. If you try, you can like everybody, and everybody will like you.

6. Seek Out the Little People. Do not limit yourself to a few friends when there so many likeable people around you.

7. Be Generous with Praise. And cautious with criticism. Who among us does not need the understanding and tolerance of all our friends.

8. Be Considerate of the Feelings of Others. Usually there are three sides to a controversy - yours, the other person's, and the right one.

9. Be Alert to give Service. What we do for others counts most in life.

10. Add to this a Good Sense of Humour, A generous dose of patience, a dash of humility, and you will receive many fold blessings.

A Smile is nature's best antidote for discouragement.
It brings rest to the weary,
Sunshine to those who are frowning,
And hope to those who are hopeless and defeated.
A Smile is so valuable that it can't be bought,
Begged, borrowed, or taken away against your will.
You have to be willing to give a Smile away
Before it can do anyone else any good.
So if someone is too tired or grumpy to flash you a Smile,
Let him have one of yours anyway.
Nobody needs a Smile as much
As the person who has none to give,
Smile your smile for today,
Pass it on to someone,
Who needs some sunshine on a cloudy day,
Remember,
No matter how bad it seems at the time,
It shall pass in a few moments,
And,
A Smile is simply a frown upside down,
So, stand on your head and look in the mirror,
Once you see how silly you look,
Frown turns into Smile,

I've learned that no matter how much I care, some people just don't care back.
I've learned that no matter how good a person is, they're going to hurt you every once in a while, and you must forgive them for that.
I've learned that money is a lousy way of keeping score.
I've learned that talking can ease emotional pains.
I've learned that it takes years to build up trust, and only seconds to destroy it.
I've learned that true friendship continues to grow, even over the longest distance.
I've learned that you can do something in an instant that will give you a heartache for life.
I've learned that it's not what you have in your life, but who you have in your life.
I've learned that good friends are family members that we are allowed to choose.
I've learned that we don't have to change friends if we understand that friends change.
I've learned that the people you care most about in life are taken from you too soon.
I've learned that you should always leave loved ones with loving words. It may be the last time you see them.
I've learned that our background and circumstances may have influenced who we are, but we are responsible for ourselves.
I've learned that you shouldn't compare yourself to the best others can do, but to the best you can do.
I've learned that it's not where I am that is important. It's where I am going.
I've learned that no matter how thin you slice it, there are always two sides.
I've learned that it takes a long time to become the person I want to be.
I've learned that it's a lot easier to react than it is to think.
I've learned that you can keep going long after you think you cannot.
I've learned that either you control your attitude, or it controls you.
I've learned that heroes are the people who do what has to be done when it needs to be done, regardless of the consequences.
I've learned that patience takes a lot of practice.
I've learned that there are people who love you dearly, but just don't know how to show it.
I've learned that my best friend and I can do anything or nothing and have the best time.
I've learned that sometimes the people you expect to kick you when you're down will be the ones to help you get back up.
I've learned that there is more of my parents in me that I thought.
I've learned that sometimes when I'm angry I have the right to be angry, but that doesn't give me the right to be cruel.
I've learned that just because someone doesn't love you the way you want him/her to doesn't mean s/he doesn't love you with all s/he has.
I've learned that maturity has more to do with what types of experiences you've had and what you've learned from them and less to do with how many birthdays you've celebrated.
I've learned that you should never tell a child his/her dreams are unlikely or outlandish. Few things are more humiliating, and what a tragedy it would be if s/he believed it.
I've learned that it isn't always enough to be forgiven by someone else. Sometimes you have to learn to forgive yourself.
I've learned that no matter how bad your heart is broken, the world doesn't stop for your grief.
