Three persons were reportedly killed while seven others were abducted by gunmen on Tuesday as they attacked Unguwar Isiyaka and Yar Tafki villages, Funtua Local Government Area of Katsina State.

Residents revealed that the gunmen carried out the separate attacks on the two communities in the early hours of Tuesday.

At Unguwar Isiyaka, residents said the gunmen killed three victims and abducted four others including a ward head.

The residents also revealed that the principal of Government Secondary School, Makera, a nursing mother, and her baby were abducted at Yar Tafki village.

One of the residents, who pleaded anonymity, disclosed, “Early this morning (Tuesday), some armed terrorists in large numbers carrying sophisticated weapons attacked Yar Tafki village and started shooting sporadically, and in the process, they kidnapped one Yahaya Magaji, the Principal of Government Secondary School, Makera.

“They also kidnapped Marakisuya Yakubu, aged 35, and her 17-month-old baby, Bilkisu Yakubu.

“At Unguwar Isiyaka village, three men were killed by the terrorists and four others have been kidnapped including the Mai Unguwa (ward head).”


Further inquiries showed that those who sustained injuries during the attacks were rushed to the Shehu Sarkin Maska Hospital, Funtua, for treatment.

Official comments and clarification on the incident were still being expected from the spokesman for the Katsina Police Command, SP Gambo Isah, as of 6.25 pm on Tuesday.

Buhari is a natural disaster worse than earthquake. The man is so less concern with the happenings in the country.
If Nigeria was to be a sane and working country, He should have been impeached long time ago.

The insecurity in Nigeria is caused by the Federal government and state governments.
You would argue with me if I tell you that crude oil is the major cause of insecurity in the country.
Crude oil has brought all of us together and made us chant "one Nigeria" giving bandits access to any part of the country by calling it freedom of movement.
It has made governors all over the country weak that they no longer think of any other source of generating revenue.
It has also stopped the Federal government from giving state government the power to have their own state police for fear of liberation.



Until FG cut state allocation by half and gives it to the oil-producing state, insecurity won't stop in the North and In the South. By then they would understand the importance of securing life and properties. This would not happen you know why
Until state governments start mounting roadblocks and also taking charge of their territories, insecurity won't stop.

The whole of Nigeria is now under siege and shamefully it is headed by a retired general.

Buhari deserve to be stripped off from that general title it's a disgrace to the Nigeria Army.

How I wish this could be retrospective.

It is just the sign of a failed government.. imagine the state of the president.. people are pained with the way buhari is toying with the life of the citizens of Nigeria with his I don't care atitude. He don't care how people are living. He only care about his travelling from one country to another while ur country is on fire.. it baffles me how will a president travelling when NLC are on protest. These signal how he care less about the state of the nation. Nigerians should please vote wisely.

Protecting life and properties is not these government aim and objective.. they are only interested in embezzlement of funds that is ment for the welfare of the poor.. take out sentiment from your head and vote wisely. If the economy bad na every body go feelam no be only one part of the country go feelam.. these is the right time Nigerians need to ask questions. Watch out if Peter Obi emerges as the president of this country, just three months you will see they talking nonsense just like they did to Jonathan.

See how people die every day and the level of poverty going on in this country yet someone in his right senses will still be talking about APC again. I don’t even understand how some people reason sometimes.
