IPAC congratulates the Local Government Chairmen on marking 100 days in office. This came out through the spokesman of IPAC in Lagos,
Hon. Richard Benson Echigbue, who is the publicity secretary, charged the council chairman to live up to their promises while vying for the position and the duties to the constituency, bearing in mind that they are the grassroots leaders and are also the closest to the people.

However, the IPAC publicity secretary asked the council chairman, "How have they fared in delivering their DUIs in office to the people within the first 100 days in office?"
According to the spokesman of IPAC Lagos, he reiterated the fact that most council chairmen don't live up to expectations while in office. Instead of performing their duties, they simply lead extravagant lives and intimidate people who want to set a benchmark by which their performance should be evaluated. Following the trend of events in various local governments, the council chairmen are lackadaisical about the plight of the people in their locality. He therefore charged the council chairmen to be up and doing so as to leave a good legacy behind. He said that a lot of our local government areas are not working but left untouched by the council heads and that if this continues, our local government areas and the immediate environment will be better described as a village without a king. He therefore charged them to create a micro-enabling environment for the people within it and give them a sense of belonging. He advises the various council heads to give professional training at regular intervals to the staff in carrying out their daily activities.
