About the overheating, it depends on how you use the phone, normally, if you overuse a phone, it will heat, so you can't just say iPhone X overheats as if all the iPhone X in the world overheats.

Iphone XR over X anyday anytime and twice on a Sunday.

X heats up easily unlike the XR
X has a better display though

XR battery is much better
