This jetty was first built in 1795 by Europeans to convey sl@ves into the waiting ships. It’s a floating jetty and has three major underground which was used to store very stubborn sl@ves The Store has capacity for about 30 people but 150 people were forced in at any given time. It was nicknamed “THE BRIDGE OF NO RETURN” Because once a sl@ve stepped on it they were not allowed to look back and never return to their family again.
