Bulama Bukarti, a security specialist and attorney, claimed on Friday that Boko Haram has a presence close to Abuja, the country's capital.

He said it while speaking on Politics Today on Channels Television.

According to Mr. Bukarti, this was the terrorist organization's first foray into the country's North-Central region.

"All three Boko Haram factions have now successfully established themselves in the North-Central, close to Abuja," he claimed.

His remark comes as the capital of the country is experiencing an increase in unrest.
Recently, gunmen have targeted military installations, murdering some soldiers in the process.
