A Twitter handle has posted a very disturbing, gloomy but urgent message by Media Amazon, Kadaria Ahmed calling into question unprofessional conducts of her colleagues who rather due in fanning the embers of ethnic profiling than embarking on balance, investigative journalism. She reminded her colleagues that media sensationalism, ethnic profiling sled the inglorious Rwanda genocides. I watched that BBC documentary. It is an eye opener to the deep rooted hatred among Fulani and Hausa ethnic groups in Zamfara and other neighboring states. Federal government need to adopt dialogue among the tribal leaders to resolve it because the amount of arms in both camps is alarming. 2 Likes |
