The iHumanitarian Group are "Volunteers" from Nigeria that help in saving lives using their laptop, internet, mobile phones and other mobile devices by disseminating information on early warning of disaster and helping to co-ordinate emergency response; and likewise help in live mapping projects. The iHumanitarian group monitors some live maps in Nigeria, and are involved in training interested volunteers on the use of live maps using Virtual Technology Communities such as as Google Maps and Google Map Maker, Open Street Maps and Ushahidi.

Requirements:
They must have a laptop or computer device
They must be able to use skype very well
They must have access to the internet/uses the internet often
They must be able to use their mobile phone effectively
They must be conversant with the social media ecosystem
Anyone from humanitarian orgs will be given preference
They must have signed the iH code of conduct

Work Description

They Monitor and Co-ordinate the Nigeria Crisis Map
They Monitor the Lagos Traffic Map
They are trusted sources of information from each state.
They are members of the Geolocation and Task Team.
