Synthesia:
For Synthesis, the stimulation of one sense causes the automatic stimulation of another, resulting in the ability to taste shapes, see music and countless other variations. A synthetate may perceive each letter of the alphabet as a different colour, another may have entirely seperate smells for each year in the calender so thdt a person may describe 1996 as having a pleasant apple fragrance and 2009 as having the smell of coffee.
The condition has been associated with creativity in the sufferer.
It is also more common than people think; 1 in 23 people have it and it is largely harmless, although there can be a risk of sensory overload. In one form of synthesia, every written word evokes a different taste, which can be distressing if you cannot read words without getting a feeling of having food in your mouth.
Other symptoms or common descriptions may be seeing a number in the form of a particular object for example seeing the number 10 as looking like a nose or seeing 25 as having the form of a car.
Numbers can also be visualized as colours for example 1 appearing blue and 7 appearing to have a yellow colour. Music may also be visualized with sufferers seeing spirals or waves in space when listening to music.
Also, very mild synthesia is a basic human feature and it does not necessarily connote a mental disorder.

Aquagenic Pruiritis
This is a skin disease that is characterized by the development of severe, intense, prickling like itching that is without observable skin lesions and that is evoked by contact with water.
Itching may be felt immediately after contact with water or humid air or perspiration and can persist for an hour or longer.
Other triggers of the itching may be blowing air, contact with synthetic fibres and lying down and trying to sleep.
Aquagenic pruiritis appear equally in both genders regardless of age and among people of varying skin tones; it is not associated with only people of
a particular skin tone. In some families, a tendency toward Aquagenic Pruiritis appears to be hereditary.
The severity of the itching impedes normal activities, limits bathing and very commonly leads to depression.
Liberal application of baby oil before or after bathing or drying off immediately after a shower/bath can help to reduce the symptoms. Using shower oils or shower creams such as Dove body wash also helps some sufferers.
The use of cotton clothes and bedding can prevent or provide relief in some cases.
Some sufferers control the itch by using excessively hot water for showering but this does not work for everyone.
The condition, strangely, may be associated with a feeling of disgust or heightened sensitivity to disgusting conditions.ome sufferers.

Pica
This is characterized by an appetite for substanses that are largely non-nutritive like metal, salt, ice, chalk, pencils, paper, ash, gum, lip balm etc. Sufferers of Pica have an appetite for these substances and crave them.
For these to be considered pica, they must persist for more than one month at an age where eating such is considered developmentally inappropriate. It is seen in all ages, particularly in pregnant women and small children.
Pica can be caused by a specific appetite for deficient minerals in the individual, it can also be due to obsessive compulsive disorder and stress associated with traumatic events like maternal deprivation, parental seperation or neglect, child abuse, disorganized family structure and poor parent-child interaction.
