ICT And Digital Economic Development :Senator Ifeanyi Ubah Empowers 150 Anambra Youths With Brand New Laptops

Calls On Them To Move Along With The Times And Update Their ICT Driven Technology Skills

The Senator representing Anambra South Senatorial District And National Leader of the Young Progressives Party (YPP) , Yesterday , 31/7/2022 , gave out 150 brand new advanced high tech HP Laptops to Youths of Anambra state .

According to the Distingushed Senator , the world is moving away from oil and natural resources economy to the ICT/ Creative Industry and that one of the best ways to help the youths is to provide veritable means for capacity building and empower them with the tools to excel in that field.

""Proficiency in computer operations is an absolute requirement for success in today's technology-driven environment. This empowement programme is therefore designed to equip and empower the youths with digital knowledge as a premise for entrepreneurial skill and self reliance" Senator Ubah said .

He congratulated the 150 young recipients who were privileged to be beneficiaries of this edition of his ICT empowerment programme.

He further enjoined them to endeavour to make good use of the laptops and horn their skills in order to remain relevant in the scheme of things within and outside the ICT sphere.

It can be recalled that Distingushed Senator had the record of having empowered and ensured that numerous youths in the state were kept busy during the Covid pandemic lockdown with access to their online studies and activities.

He concluded by stating that it is his expectation that this empowement will create leverage for digital innovations and entrepreneurship amongst the youths who will in turn help the growth of the Nation's economy.

Other items like radio Bluetooth speakers, clippers , polos and umbrellas were also shared to the jubilant youths present.

The youths were filled with joy and expressed their gratitude through the various speakers at the event .
