Beauty is a thing of the mind

words can't really describe beauty

some consider polite manners beauty

others consider a pretty face beauty

some consider roads parched red with thirst

with grass strained brown from the sun's beauty

while others consider the sunniest blue skies

and the greenest meadows beauty

some would consider well-written poetry while

while others consider well-versed scriptures beauty

Cold days and warm nights

hot days and cold nights

mosquitoes in the night air

crickets chirping their loudest at the crack of dawn

birds humming as the sun rises and

wolves howling at the moonlight

good shoes on my feet

warm clothes on my back

soft words from my lips

music to my ears

smiles that reach the eyes

eyes that sparkle from within
