*CHIEF DR. GEORGE MOGHALU FELICITATES WITH HIS EXCELLENCY, DR CHRIS NWABUEZE NGIGE (Onwa) ON HIS 70TH BIRTHDAY*


The Managing Director of National Inland Waterways Authority (NIWA), Chief Dr. George Moghalu congratulates His Excellency Dr. Chris Nwabueze Ngige (MD, OON) on the auspicious occasion of his 70th birthday.

Chief Dr. George Moghalu extolls Dr. Ngige as a gallant and refined politician and a medical doctor par excellence whose sterling leadership qualities, selfless philanthropy and commitment to the nation’s unity has remained upward.

The NIWA boss underscores the efforts of Dr. Ngige who retired from the Federal Civil Service as Deputy Director in the Federal Ministry of Health in 1999, and as the Physician-in-Charge, Federal Government Staff Clinics in the Presidency, Abuja before venturing into politics.

Chief Moghalu the Ohamadike of Nnewi, also applauded the sagacity, bravery and forthrightness of Dr Ngige in instituting long lasting changes in Anambra State, particularly the investments in people by enhancing the health, educational and physical infrastructure standard of the state such as robust road network, etc.

As a Labour Minister and later the President of the Governing Board of the International Labour Organisation (ILO), Dr. Moghalu acknowledges the vocal and frontline roles Dr. Ngige has played in ensuring the entrenchment of democratic principles in governance by continually emphasizing on the rule of law, people and labour friendly policies, probity and accountability.

As Dr. Chris Ngige celebrates, Chief Dr. George Moghalu the Ohamadike Nnewi prays that the almighty God will grant the Minister longer life and good health to keep serving the nation he loves so much.
