The Transition Committee set up by the Osun State Governor-elect, Senator Ademola has said the incoming administration has no plans to probe the Gboyega Oyetola-led administration and any of the past governments. Secretary of the committee, Bamidele Salam said this on Monday during a radio programme monitored by InsightMedia in Osogbo. He said the committee has been busy gathering memoranda from members of the public, retired and serving civil servants and public officials who have different contributions. According to him, the probe carried out by past administration of Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola yielded no results. He said, “there’s nothing like such (probe) on the table for now. The Governor-Elect has stated it severally that he coming on board to give Osun people different thing. He’s not out to witch-hunt anyone. He’s coming to serve Osun people. “All over the world, probe doesn’t bring anything tangible. You only waste resources and time on it. Look at the one carried out by the administration of Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola when he came on board and he assembled some comrades from Lagos and Osun to probe the government of Prince Olagunsoye Oyinlola. What did they bring out of it? So no one is coming to probe anyone.” Speaking on the cooperation of the incumbent government with the transition committee, Salam said the Governor-Elect has officially informed Oyetola of the setting up of the committee on August 2, but no response received so far. He said they (the committee members) expect the outgoing administration to do the honourable thing by coming up with representatives that will work with them.
