As everyone in a WhatsApp group chat is alerted when you leave, leaving the chat can currently be an unpleasant experience. It can be aggravating in bigger gatherings as well. However, soon only the admins will be notified when someone leaves the group, as opposed to everyone else. This month, the feature will roll out to all WhatsApp users.

It is one of the steps the encrypted messaging service is doing to increase privacy. The company also launched a technology that will enable users to hide their internet activity from others.

Additionally, WhatsApp is testing a feature that prevents users from screenshotting "View Once" messages, which are communications that can only be accessed once after being opened.
Mark Zuckerberg, the CEO of Meta, which owns WhatsApp, wrote on his Facebook page on Tuesday that the company would "keep creating new ways to protect your messages and keep them as private and secure as face-to-face chats

Ami Vora, head of product at WhatsApp, stated in a statement, "At WhatsApp, we're committed on delivering product features that empower consumers to have more control and privacy over their conversations.

The new features are one way we're keeping up with our promise to keep messages private. Over the years, we've introduced interlocking layers of security to help keep their chats secure.

The modification is the latest in a slew of adjustments Meta has recently made to its platforms.
A new feed that displays posts from friends and family in reverse chronological order was also created by the company when it recently redesigned the main Facebook app to favor algorithmically selected material.

In order to gain the favor of younger "Gen Z" users, Meta is attempting to attract them away from social media platforms like Instagram and Snapchat and toward TikTok, the enormously popular short-form video network run by China's ByteDance.
The TikTok feed is infamous for being incredibly addicting because it suggests content based on what it believes viewers will find most interesting.
