But since you had A1 in geography and economics and you have finished secondary school, am surprised that you couldn't answer the simple questions.

Pls explain how it is infrastructure driven economy?

An infrastructure Driven Economy is a type of economy in which construction infrastructure helps in the development and undertaking of other economic sectors.

For example, this GAC Car Assembly will help in the production of Cars at a cheaper cost to consumers, as it will eliminate the increased Customs duty on the cost of imported cars.

It will also employ more laborers, as 95% of its workforce will be sourced locally.

Another example of an Infrastructure Driven Economy is the construction of Lekki Port which will facilitate trade and investments.

Also, Metro Line will help in the delivery of goods at cheaper and faster rate to desired point of sales and storage. This will not only improve manufacturing sectors, but increase overall productivity of the economy.

How is revenue generation an achievement on its own?

It is an achievement because it is a component of the accomplishment of government goals.

The goal here is not just to generate or save money, but to use the IGR to create more social contracts and infrastructural development for the people.

How is Tinubu responsible for Lagos becoming the whatever largest economy in Africa?

By creating enabling environment for the people, businesses, and investors to thrive, through his giant economic policies that are designed to last many generations.

As a businessman or investor, I bet you wouldn't dare to open a business or invest in a state where nobody goes out on Monday, will you?

Or will you have your multimillion-dollar investment in a place full of laterite soil and erosion water?

Geography & Economics secondary school scholar, could you pls explain this question you asked?

I hope you can read and comprehend this time around. cheesy cheesy

This initiative was birthed by Sanwoolu regime and Tinubu charges 10% every month for this.

So, before you clap for Tinubu, know what's involved.

Sanwoolu, in his excellency daftness is creating an atmosphere for government to compete with private businesses which is not one of the responsibilities of the government.

He is making the Chinese get richer by empowering them through GAC motors, giving local cab riders a run and forcing some to dump their own cars and opt for this one, creating competition with Uber, bolt and other ride hailing apps and you'd think this Lagride cab comes cheap (find attached the breakdown of the cost).

Driver pays a down payment of 1.8 million being 20% of the cost of vehicle and then 8000 per day for 3-4 years..

oluwa ma je ki n sin ijoba ku..

This is modern slavery and a mumu initiative which favours nobody but the shaky shaky daddy at bourdillon and the Chinese.

If you have 1.8 million naira my nigga, go and look for slightly accidented corolla toks and take it to panel beater.
Oga stop stories and appreciate the good work. When you use your heart you will tell us Sanwolu achievement is not abt Tinubu but If you use your head you will know Sanwolu achievment related with Tinubu .who is Sanwolu to Tinubu? Or if Sanwo did bad won't you mention Tinubu.

First, pls what is "construction infrastructure" as used below?

Owopariola001:

An infrastructure Driven Economy is a type of economy in which construction infrastructure helps in the development and undertaking of other economic sectors.

Based on your definition, how is GAC now infrastructure driven economy because "it will help in the production of Cars at a cheaper cost to consumers, as it will eliminate the increased Customs duty on the cost of imported cars"?

What's the correlation between GAC assemblng of cheap cars and what metro line and lekki port are supposed to do?

I don't remember asking you for examples. The focus here is GAC. Is GAC infrastructure?

Second, what are the "accomplishment of government goals" in relation to Tinubus 8years as governor?

Can you give me a brief about alpha beta?

According to you:

"The goal here is not just to generate or save money, but to use the IGR to create more social contracts and infrastructural development for the people."

Do you "create" social contract? Where in the world is social contract created with IGR? What are the infrastructural development for the people that were created by the increased IGR between 1999 and 2007?

Third, What enabling environment are you saying that Tinubu created between 1999 and 2007 that made Lagos the 5th largest economy in Africa?

What exactly are his "giant economic policies" that you say will last many generations?

Lastly, as a geography and economics scholar, you haven't explained what this question means:

Or what do makes you think Twitter establish office in Ghana but not Nigeria?

lexy2014:

First, pls what is "construction infrastructure" as used below?

While I don't have your time, I'll try as much as possible not just to help you alone, but other block heads like you.

There are various types of infrastructure, one of them is construction which is based mostly on building and civil engineering like highway, roads, factories, etc.

Some other types of infrastructure includes Telecommunications, Waste Management, Human Capital and Institution, etc.

Based on your definition, how is GAC now infrastructure driven economy because "it will help in the production of Cars at a cheaper cost to consumers, as it will eliminate the increased Customs duty on the cost of imported cars"?

It appears you're not intellectually competent to understand this conversation. This topic is above your knowledge.

Economy is a state of a country/state in terms of production, consumption, and supply of money

GAC Cars Assembly Plant is an infrastructure. Its purpose is to produce cars.
The buyers of these cars are consumers (buying in this way is consumption)
The arrangement at which the cars will be produced, sold and used involves supply of money into the economy.

What's the correlation between GAC assemblng of cheap cars and what metro line and lekki port are supposed to do?

They're both infrastructures, which involves production of goods, facilities, and its consumption by the people. These process involves supply of money, which helps to drive the economy of a state or country.

I don't remember asking you for examples. The focus here is GAC. Is GAC infrastructure?

I'm sorry, but I can't help it, but to cure your ignorance with multiple examples.

Second, what are the "accomplishment of government goals" in relation to Tinubus 8years as governor?

Tinubu's 8yrs tenure is filled with economic policies that has in many ways make the Lagos state government deliver its promises to its citizens and residents.

Can you give me a brief about alpha beta?

Alpha Beta Consulting firm specialise in providing professional and independent Advice and support in Information and Financial systems.

According to you:

"The goal here is not just to generate or save money, but to use the IGR to create more social contracts and infrastructural development for the people."
Do you "create" social contract?

Yes.

Where in the world is social contract created with IGR?

Social Contract is an assumed agreement between the people of a state and the government to cooperate for social benefits, for example by paying taxes, which is part of IGR, and in return, these IGR is spent to provide a safe and habitable environment for the people.

What are the infrastructural development for the people that were created by the increased IGR between 1999 and 2007?

1. The creation of the Lagos Metropolitan Area Transport Authority (LAMATA), tasked to develop a strategy to address the transport needs of the city

2. The first bus rapid transit (BRT) system in Africa, built in just 15 months.

3. Introduction of free health policy for children below 18 and adults above 65 years

4. Free eye surgeries and glasses (Jigi Bola) were distributed to patients for free

5. ‘Roll Back Malaria’ programme complemented the Eko Free Malaria Treatment programme under which millions of people were treated.

6. The establishment of the Lagos State Health Facility Monitoring and Accreditation Agency to ensure quality assurance.

7. The establishment of the Hospital Services Commission and the promotion of partnerships in health between the government and the private sector.

8. Conversion of the dreadful Ita Oko prisoners camp into a youth skills acquisition centre.

9. Provision of 500 housing units yearly and coordination the activities of the Lagos State Development and Property Corporation (LSDPC) and the Lagos Building Investment Company for more effective management.

10. Completion of the moribund Michael Otedola Low Income Housing.

11. Completion of the Jubilee Housing Scheme comprising 1,300 units of low-income housing designated as Abraham Adesanya Housing Estate

12. Completion of Lekki Scheme 1, named after the late Eleko of Lagos, Oba Adeyinka Oyekan, the Oko Oba units,
Oregun Estate, Ikeja,
Femi Okunnu Housing Estate, Lekki, and
Mile 2 Housing Estate.

13. Establishment of Independent power project (IPP), which continually supplied 270 megawatts of electricity to the national grid

14. Electrification projects were completed in places like Egan, Atewolere, Ifesowapo, Aboru, Agbado, Ayetoro, Akorede, Isheri Ikosi, Orile Aguntan, Rofo, Borokini, Omologbede, Araromi, Oke Agbo, Erekusu, Logberu, Okegelu and Ebute, Lekki. Others were Origanringan, Onigbolakowe, Oke odo Elemoro, Ipaja Isale Odo, Agenuba, Ajelogo, Mutaku, Egansando, Ayanfe, Topo and Ikola Agbenaje.

15. Creation of additional 37 councils, following the legitimate agitations of Lagosians for improved governance at the grassroots.

Should I add more?

Third, What enabling environment are you saying that Tinubu created between 1999 and 2007 that made Lagos the 5th largest economy in Africa?

Look up, boy.

What exactly are his "giant economic policies" that you say will last many generations?

Look up, boy.

Lastly, as a geography and economics scholar, you haven't explained what this question means:

It is called enabling environment. And before you start asking what it means, it means that there is a rich and varied space where risks are minimized and well managed, with the set of policy, institutional, regulatory, infrastructure, and cultural conditions that govern formal and informal business activities.

Learn, Unlearn, Relearn, or Perish.

Capisce?
